In general (and this applies in real life too), a change of hairstyle is such a radical change that people fall out of love over it . . . or at least out of attraction.

It can't be that Becky's new hairstyle won the poll, bro, I loved the other one more, when she had it long, I don't believe people like this new short hairstyle, what a disappointment, we already have many women with short hair, Becky with her long hair made her different from the others and prettier
I can only assume that people voted for the new hairstyle because quality-wise it looks better. Which I have to agree, the quality of the hair improved compared to the old one. But I think if the Dev would have used the old hairstyle in the new quality, most people would have liked the old hairstyle.

And so began the holy war. Many died in that bloodbath, many accounts were banned, many threads cleared! And centuries later, among the lifeless ruins of the forum, no one knew why some were called "Haircut" and others "Long Hair"
"Who the hell is Becky? To arms! The Haircutters are coming!!!"

Have to disagree somewhat on this one. This is all peripheral stuff: hair styles; dresses; which swimsuit to buy; muff or bald. None of it matters to the plot. It's when plot decisions are given over to the subscribers that your opinions become valid. It's also when I drop the game.
Agree to disagree, then. I hear what you are saying, but that's what the slippery slope here is - a seemingly innocuous start to something that could become larger later on. Obviously minor changes don't affect the story, but the point is that if you indicate at all that you are open to the idea of making any changes based on who shouts the loudest, you're indicating that bad behaviour may get positive feedback and inevitably inviting it upon yourself.

Much better to have open and explanatory dialogue with fans but still draw the clear line in the sand that you are the dev and the vision (and all the work that goes with it) are yours and yours alone. I would bet that if you looked back at games you dropped you might find that there were earlier warning signs with seeming small (and at the time innocuous) tweaks like a character's hair style that were made in response to 'feedback' from players.

Of course, the 3rd choice foe devs is to post polls like that to humor that complainers but rig them so your choices always win the polls. Many kudos to the dev if he is that sly.

So, I guess you will stop playing this game then.

This is like a cautionary tale of how perfect is just not good enough to keep your man.
Dude has a 10/10 wife, she loves him and is completely devoted to him, she is enthusiastically sexually available to him at all times and he still wants and pursues other women. It's a bit bleak if you think about it. Good game.

And who says she doesn't do the same thing as her husband?

If you have a probleme like me with the quick menu superposing on text making it not readable. You can use this file found on this site a few years ago that active auto foward without quick menu on a key. Just put the file in game folder and push Z key to activate auto forward. You can change the set key opening the file with notepad

edit : this work for others games also

Very nice! Also, a quick note, you can change all of these things in 99% of the games using the Universal Ren'py Mod here.

Definitely hard on the immersion that you want on a first-time playthrough. That's why the vast majority of games don't use this mechanic, because it's anti-player.
if you use the mod it allows you to play that scene without the game over
