i have mixed feelings about this, i was a member of his patreon for awhile then stopped due to financial reasons.. while i still had a couple of weeks left on that month i cancelled, i couldnt download the VN unless i re-subscribed even though i had time left on the month . so now that i cant afford it but i still have 2 weeks left before my subscription runs out i cant download even though i paid for the month.. so is it wrong of me to come here and download and get it being that 2 weeks left of my donation is now gone ? it is a 2 way street and if you do this to make money you should honor the full month someone pays and let them have access to the VN .. am i wrong?
I can't justify supporting the devs consistently, but I can justify chipping in a few bucks sporadically. I subscribed relatively late last month with the understanding that this month's release would fall within that window. The delay has pushed the release outside of that window.

Thats just how patreon thing. FYI you can resubscribe, if you paid for that month already you won't get charged and the permissions will be enabled again. Than you can unsubscribe again before end of month to avoid further billing.
Again its being twisted what the request is. The game is fundamentally free, all patrons get is a month of earlier access. The devs don't even ask for that, just a week without leak. There would be just as many games here if there was a rule against early leaks for small projects.

The funny thing about the ruckus over it leaking, to me, is that there doesn't have to be one. Other smaller patreon developers have to worry about games leaking and it affecting their income, but Azienda is the only one I see flipping out about it. One developer I support puts a request not to leak content at the top of each patreon release with the statement that doing so can affect his income by up to 30% and if that happens the quality of the project will go down because he relies on artist commissions for some of the assets. When it does leak early he approaches the leaker in DMs and discusses why leaking it early is a problem. Because he engages with his market directly and with the leakers without causing a scene he tends to have better results, it's been almost a year since the last very early leak happened. There are ways to handle it that don't result in a thread mocking you and possibly resulting in earlier leaks happening again.
It was already leaked anyways people would've found it eventually if they knew were to look regardless if i posted the link here or not.
Gotta say, it is kinda funny how quickly this side story kicks off. Months and months of delay time in the actual main game, but the side story? Jonah is having confidence issues instantly, there's no hemming and hawing he just asks to be cucked and is too much of a bitch boy to push back. He couldn't have been more of a pussy without actually being a cat.

I feel like this is a completely reasonable request. Wanna get the game right away? Support the game. Wanna play for free? Just wait a few more days.
idk what's actually wrong with people here objecting to the dev complaining publicly. The response here actually sounds mild af.
1. If the dev really wanted to actually 1v1 piracy it's not that hard to add a pretty robust (online authenticated, unpack in memory) drm and basically permanently end leaking early, and maybe even stop free releases unless some drm cracker gets involved. Even then, could probably dmca the links etc.
2. It's not some garbage dev pumping out low effort asset flips or milking patreons. There's 2 top tier completed games that have been released already.
3. Reducing income drops game quality and slows releases. This isn't adobe / microsoft / EA where piracy is justified.
