When people discuss this kind of thing, they ALWAYS leave the feelings of the people involved aside; that's why some people don't get decisions based on emotions. This is the EXACT SAME THING as when a parent tells their teenage kids that they can't go out wearing X clothes; the kids would feel wronged, they would say that they have the right to choose for themselfs, that it is not their parents choice regardless of how much they love them or them being their parents, they will rebel, and that is how we get that typical conflict.

Here we have THE SAME THING. Mrs. Clements has dressed sexy like that all her life. It's what she likes and feels comfortable with, and it is one of the things that her husband used to like about her in their youth, per that same conversation with her, but after marriage, he started to say that she shouldn't dress like that anymore. He keeps complaining, apart from being more distant and less loving than before. Then MC gets in the picture and encourages her; he plants seeds in her head, and in curiosity, she dresses like that to look at herself in the mirror but doesn't plan to actually go out like that. Then the husband enters the room and starts calling her a slut for putting on those clothes, and she gets pissed. She feels wronged, so she leaves the house in those clothes to rub it in her husband's face but regrets it immediately, just for MC to come and start telling her that she shouldn't feel bad and that she should be able to decide what she wants to wear, just like a friend or romantic partner would encourage the teenager that their parents shouldn't choose for them.

THAT is what a sweet talker does; they appeal to someone's emotions to get them to think what they want them to think. They dance around logic while making them feel like they are right. If you just think purely logically about everything, then you are bound to get some things wrong. To make the characters feel alive, a writer has to consider their feelings in their actions, not just their intelligence. Whether MC is right or wrong depends on how they used to be in the past and what concessions they made when they got married.

So he was okay with it when they were a couple but is now against it because they are married. That sort of behavior is one of the things that tends to make the wife lose her love for her spouse and have affairs. She could dress like she wanted before, but now that she "belongs" to her husband, it's not right anymore, and she has to wear what he says.

By that logic, if she was the kind of girl that used to put on a sexy bikini and go to the beach to tan, now she is forbidden from that too, ¿right? No one should see your wife in a bikini but you, so it's either a tanning salon to get cancer from a tanning machine or give up on tanning and don't make herself pretty anymore.

(By the way, I already did that scene, and he confirms that he bought the store when he made enough money, so yeah, it was not passed down, so his name was misspelled on the sign of his shop ).

This game is funny both intentionally and unintentionally.

Ah my b. Didn't know he released a walkthrough mode a few days after the initial release, haven't been in the thread for a couple months. I mod the game myself and merge all the paths into one TBH. So yea, that is a funny typo then lol.
