I like how people have justified concerns/complaints and you go straight to the insults and assumptions about peoples character.
Also using "lolicon" in a negative context like you did is kink shaming which is against the rules.

Tbh I think any clarification would help at this point because I think it's fair to say everyone (including me) is in full doomer meltdown about having all the things they love about the game be changed/ removed. If you believe some of the things people are worried about being removed aren't actually on the chopping block it would be nice to have it stated to put people at ease.

Obviously it isn't like nothing at all would change but if a remake where to happen you can expect all scenes involving anything sexual to be just as they are right now. Jacky, Alyvia and Emily would still be the MCs biological family, no models would be changed from how they currently are. All a rework would do if it went as I'm currently envisioning it would be to add new things and change whats present only in so far that the new can seamlessly tie back into it, with the purpose of the new stuff being to enable an official, unmodded version of the game to be able to avoid everything that might be considered problematic.

Hmmm, and why bai bai doesn't want to follow the example of others and make a free version for Itch and other tender dumps without any nudity at all? This way, you can bypass all the restrictions at once, and if you want the "full version," feel free to "insert the desired website." The creator of the Companion of Darkness and a few others have done this without any issues, and people don't complain because they understand everything. Has this option been considered?

Without knowing how these other games go about doing this exactly, this is the direction which I believe to be most promising. I do not think however that turning the game into an obvious SFW demo of an NSFW game would be quite enough, especially not when dealing with content as it is in this game. I think a SFW would need to be able to at least somewhat stand on its own, optimally with some additional steps to muddy the waters for any NSFW mods that might be released for it.

So from what I'm gathering you want to make an "official" version that's incest and "coercion" free on the corruption route but add that content back in with "mods".

I don't get your post. What would be the difference between a remake and a patch if it were made to please censors and make the game "safe"?. And worse, why would a real remake be better?

Oh yeah, making a remake that wasn't planned before, right in the middle of the story, and making everyone wait until said remake is done for us to see progress in the story is definitely better than a simple patch to make the game acceptable and then move on with the next updates, right?

I don't know why this is confusing me so much, it feels like we are reading from different books and we haven't realized it. Are you just saying the "remake" would be you cutting content from the official release and then allowing for a "mod" to reinsert everything? In that case it isn't really a remake at all and this whole thing has just been a misunderstanding. Even if you add other scenes that wouldn't really be a bad thing in most peoples minds.. Just look at FET, it has added stuff throughout the game seemingly endlessly.

I think people have the biggest issue people have here is they're afraid aspects will be changed in a rewrite/reimagining. It is why people reacted negatively to Emily suddenly being resized. If suddenly everyone is university aged no matter how you slice it people will be upset and people are afraid that your rewrites are going to sanitize that part of this game. Emily and Lola are the two who will be the most blatant if changed and people will react accordingly.

They also won't care if you make is SFW, they'll come after you either way. I know people say Itch gets traction but I personally have never found a game on Itch that I hadn't seen somewhere else first. Either from reviews or sites like this. I hope for the best though and hope it doesn't cause more stress so we can get the update soon.

Take with some salt but from what I've been reading and a video the US is putting a executive order to essential stop payments processors from blocking things for a few reasons I advice anyone worried/interested to look it up for themselves and judge for themselves I hope this is true and how I hope it is going to work but I thought I put this here for people to know/find out for themselves. So the "remake" seems more like a patch which is much better but still seems unnecessary to me but that's just my opinion

I think most of the authors are waiting to see what the others will do, and there are already discussions going on in the discord. My advice to you is to finish the chapter, release it, and don't worry about it. Trust me, as soon as someone comes up with a better and more efficient solution, we'll let you know and help you if necessary. So, don't scare the people anymore, because the level of madness is already reaching its peak. Other authors are being harassed with questions about whether they're going to follow your example and remake the story.

Weekly development update
Alright, how about an actual development update for a change. I got a decent bit of work done on v0.10 this week, translating close to three scenes which is pretty much the whole Emily, Alyvia, Mya alone at home part of the update. Obviously all of those are dialog only scenes but they still fill a pretty chunky amount of pages and there really isn't too much of the last one of them left. After that there really aren't that many more dialog focused scenes left, which doesn't mean however that I don't have quite a few scenes of other sorts ahead of me.

Anyway, I'll keep it to a two paragraph dev update this time around. I'll however have a few days off next week so I'll try to make up for some of the recently wasted time in regards to v0.10. But I'll keep you updated as always.
