Yeah her tragedy was even greater than the MC's IMO and I may be wrong but I think the true purpose of his second chance may have been to save her with everything else being a bonus.
It was so easy with her and the MC they just clicked so perfectly and quickly. They are fully compatible and even MC takes note of this.
She needed him the most out of all the girls.
I say this not as a Steph stan because while I don't hate her she isn't my favorite personally. I could also be reading way too much into this. I tend to do that with things I like.
guess both Stephi and Viki are both the main reason MC was given the second chance - they both needed him being there for them and they both are really the sweetest of all his LIs.

Sure but the reason they click is that now he actually pays attention to the people around him and can properly convey his interest in her to her. Which doesn't have that much to do with age.
The first point where she got impressed by him was by his confidence in math, which has something to do with age, but everything after that was mostly to do with him noticing her interest and flirting back in kind.
And that's been the games theme in general, that his past relationship all failed because he did not pay attention to any of the people around him and had fled into games and porn.

Playing through the first time still and laughed out loud in a number of places. Jackie thinking that MC/Steph's romp would take 30 minutes, then starting to clean the entire house out of desperation as it goes the whole night. Lola suddenly turning a confrontation into Ace Attorney. Great writing!
