So I played the game and in terms of story it's not a very big update but in terms of content it's big enough for me to say that, I may have to wait for at least 2 more updates to have the opinion that snats is slacking on this game or that he is milking his patrons, hopefully the hospital part will be released before Feb ends and after that the 3rd release will be the deciding release.

Like many others imo this remake wasn't necessary but let's not worry about what's already happened. this prologue was good, more detailed than the previous one, animations were smoother and of course many more things improved over the previous one so at least we have something and if he can put consistent updates after this, I am all for it again.

After what I just wrote on this thread, you think I don't know about this? Even after those 5 scenes added my opinion about this game and it's situation would be same, they wouldn't add to the further story but only be added to the hell area which I have already concluded.

The difference between golden mean and this game is that if you sub now, you get the current version for this game. In golden mean's case it doesn't matter which tier you sub to you will have to wait 30 days to get the update even if the game is already out for the other people that subbed to the exact same tier as you. So the dev is actually punishing newer subs and that is not the case here. If you can't tell the difference then I don't know what to tell you

I'd never pay that much, but, you also have to understand that there are millions of people in the world to which a hundred USD isn't even pocket change. Those are the philanthropic givers, peeps so rich the numbers don't even mean anything.

No, you can see that, I popped open the game files and looked around, there's unused assets even in the leaked version. I'm pretty content that the snat-monger is hard at work.

If you read my comment in that thread I was responding to someone calling the dev a scammer and I even said that I don't think the dev is a scammer if everyone knows what they are getting into. My whole argument in that thread and the reason why I said the game would probably end up abandoned is because he is not making it very appealing for new people to sub since they have to wait a whole month to get the game despite the fact it is already out for the tier they subbed to.

The "criticism" here is just people crying because some people want to donate more than others, despite the fact that everyone gets the same game for free and the dev was always open about what he was doing and what content was going to be part of the remake.

It was a good attempt at trying to twist what I said though.

You got to realize people still defend Pure onyx Dev. So of course their are people out here that will worship Snat no matter what he do and talk trash about anyone who dont worship Snat. Yall remember when 20 sex scene mean that with snat not 20 animations. Look at the first 20 sex scene of the original twisted world scene and tell me they not better than these 20 sex scenes in every way all of them had several animations in each scene. Also he made them in less time with less experience and was still making the world from scratch like he is now.

Disappointed doesn't begin to describe how I feel about the the game after the rework. I'm mostly sad because I'll never see the old models again I had grown fond of them.

Right, so I've not played the remake yet as I'll wait for the public version (might as well get the best version if I am to play it), but I've been catching up on all the back and forth that has occured. From what I gather it seems that this half of a prologue wasn't what everyone had envisioned. Which is a shame.

My guess is that a lot of what is available in the prologue just isn't what initially got us all into the game. Which realistically is probably the main cast (family, doctor and the rest). It sounds like the nameless and faceless NPC's are doing a slight disservice to the game early on serving no other purpose other than content fluff. And while more action is always welcome in a hentai game I could see how it would maybe feel a little "cheap"? "anticlimactic"? after waiting all this time for a remake. Hell I personally didn't care much about the heaven and hell stuff in the og game myself. The biggest draw for me was Nora, Tomoe and Jill. And it's definetely a little sad to think that if it wasn't for the remake there probably qould have been more content with them by now. But I don't think anyone here ever argued the remake was needed. The reason any of us are here talking about the remake is most likely because we were big fans of the og work! But, the remake is happening and so we can only hope that it will deliver on qualitt that will make it worthwile.

And that's the other thing I've read here. The remake is well made. What has been released seems to be a really sokid foundation for all the future work and an actual upgrade from the og. People are just upset because it doesn't have the content they want or hoped for yet. Be it quantity wise or character wise it's failed to scratch that itch the last version of the og left them with. Which is a fair way to feel. Again the fact that this game has been remade does suck. But this isn't all this game is fated for. At least I hope that each update will add onto the game and get around to all of the characters as well as mew plont points that we want to see. Snats is still the same dev that managed to make that og work of art. In an ideal world they should be able to deliver a great product in due time. Yes, hopefully the updates are more regular and impactful. Idk jack-squat about game development so I have no idea how impressive or dissapointing the time to actual game development improvement ratio is, but I do know that it can't be easy especially if you're learning it all on the fly while doing it solo. So while I wouldn't financially support such an uncertain development schedule (again hopefully this first release is the start of it improving) I'm not gonna bash the dev as long as they keep working on the game.

So yeah from the sound of it the rework didn't do well in instantly giving everybody that feeling of "ah yes this is exactly what I missed from this game" but hopefully is a good start to a brand new chapter of Snats's work as a game dev. That or I'll play the public release and join in on the pithcfork raising insanity, who knows.

Ah as for the whole $100 tier argument it's entirely pointless. Twitch/Youtube/Kick/Whatever streamers have donation pages where you can donate unlimited dollars to get a message read or something to that extent and they're not considered greedy. Patreon just requires you to actually set donation amounts because it encourages a stricter structure for rewarding said donations. High tiers are just there for those who really want to donate and the perks at those amounts are more of an acknowledgement of their generosity than genuine incentives to buy that specific tier (again I don't think most people want to pay $100 to work as beta testers it's just a right given to them as they're more likely to be very motivated and involved in seeing the game get made).
