We are definitely not getting the update this month. With only 2 weeks left and the update not even being out for the angel tier, I just don't see it happening.
Considering he won't give the general audience an update, I will take this as all from his mouth on the Discord.
Supposedly, bug testing has gone completely wrong, with one bug taking nearly two days to fix. He's also supposedly not even left the prologue, that being the pardon hell. As a silver lining, though, the update is at least seven hours long, most likely longer. When he's playing it you can see it under his Discord thing, that's how I got the information

A visual novel should be more visual and less textual, for a 10 months release time about 5000 renders and 300 animations will suffice.

Otherwise you'd have to wait a decade for the game to reach the original game events.
Yea like I said for 9 or 10 months of wait time the amount of content will most likely not feel justified. But for the stories to progress you need dialogue, so a lot of the content, will be text and that is a big and important part of the game. I think it's just really dumb when people play visual novels, skip most of the dialogue and then complain that there is only 10 minutes of content.

Gotta agree with if you're skipping dialog and complaining about the length of a game then it really is dumb. Also while Snatz is a lot of things so far a bad story teller he is not, while not the most complex of plots I do enjoy how he writes the characters and how they are portrayed and about the only reason I wait around for the next update, cause the last one was something I actually enjoyed. The first one he put out with only the hell chapter made me lose a lot of interest in the game and when the next update came out for the hospital I didn't jump on to play it, waiting cause he said there were missing scenes he needed to add, ended waiting so long that I just decided to play to get it over with and by far it sucked me right back in and now I'm actually waiting with interest at the next installment, while I hate how long I've had to wait and know despite how good it will be it will not be worth taking that long, I feel I will still enjoy it and it will keep me sucked in and entertained.

the only time i ever skip the words is when its just the mc getting his meat ridden for just defeating a basic enemy or in games where the entire thing is the mc being a wimpy little bitch who sucks dick of every female he meets yet thinks that he is a super strong guy and should get riches, who for some reason a event happens that lets them get power yet they fucking whine that they need to work for it and they never try to learn anything.

I mean it's a visual novel... most of these "games" are just text. There are a lot of things that snats deserves to be criticized for, but he has never released an update that was just 10 min of content. I think the amount of content we will get will most likely not justify such a long wait time, but it's also not really his fault when people just skip all the dialogue and just watch the sex scenes. Again, it's a visual novel that will always be most of the content.
If we're getting into that, Snats' writing has never been that good which is why lots of people choose to skip it, it doesn't seem like an adult is writing a lot of the time. The beginning consistently held my attention because the premise was pretty good but from there it's shown signs of getting stale. Most scenes are bulked out with Filler Hentai Text that you have to keep on clicking through because rather than condensing text into fewer boxes more it's usually very spread out. So in order to get to the next part of the scene you have to click through 20+ text boxes, rinse repeat.

And sure, VNs might be a story-heavy format but that doesn't mean people like them for their story. A lot of titles are created by artists to have a game system for implementing their porn scenario/scenarios. Nothing wrong with that until they start pretending they're something more, and that people should keep giving them money even though they're not frequent with updates.

If people don't like the way he writes the story that is fine. It's definitely not for everyone, it was never meant to be a "serious" game and you can clearly tell that the dev takes a lot of inspiration from anime culture so it will a lot of times feel childish. That is 100% valid criticism. But saying that the updates only have 10 min of content is a completely different thing and wrong.

As for the second part of your response, I will never understand why anyone would play a visual novel if they are not interested in the story. It just doesn't make sense to me. To me it's like deciding to go eat at a sea food restaurant and then complaining about it because you don't like fish. But that is just my opinion.

I was never gunning for an exact frame of time when I said 10 minutes, I didn't expect someone to take that number as a serious estimate of time so that nobody would dispute it... well, that was the plan anyways. All I'm ultimately trying to say with that is all the madness the thread's undergoing will never be worth it unless we suddenly get an update that drops several hours of content to make up for everything the dev has put people through. Now please, no more about the ten minutes thing, it's not a hill for somebody to die on.

Also, what do you not get exactly? Nsfw VNs aren't just VNs, they contain porn and this site is largely about the porn side of things. It's not like I'm trying to force myself to sit through something the length of the Higurashi VN here. If a game has good gameplay or a good story I'll talk good of that as well, but if it's not I will choose to focus on the sex content because that's probably why I'm playing it at all. Through personal experience, most nsfw VNs I've played are relatively short stories so even if the dialogue is intolerable it can be worth sitting through it if it's animated well enough. They always come with a ton of save slots, so saving points where sex scenes are is a perfectly valid to do.

The reason why I commented on the 10 min thing is because every time a new update drops people that just skip all the dialogue start to claim that it only has 5 or 10 min of gameplay and I think that is dumb.

If you don't like the story and just want to skip it and watch the sex scenes that is up to you. I just think that it is dumb to complain about the length of the update if you decide to skip most of its content. This forum is focused on nsfw visual novels but they are still visual novels and the dialogue and story are just as important as the sex scenes, in my opinion. If people just want a quick fap, I feel like that are way easier and quicker ways than playing visual novels.
