The old game was pretty buggy, there were more scenes, but that game was actually the second rendition of the game altogether. The dev had somehow lost the original version of the game and had to remake the whole thing from scratch. This remake makes it the third iteration of the game and a lot of the criticism I've had is that he spends way more time developing new characters, instead of actually working on the game itself. Like neat you have over 100 characters, how the hell are you going to fit them into the story in a meaningful/not shallow way? The last version of the game focused mainly on the 'milf and housemates' and a few extras. There were maybe 20 characters total, there are over 5x that amount now and growing, with only 2 releases for the remake iirc.

I am pretty sure that he had a lot of characters created for the old version that ended up never appearing in the game because he started the remake.
So yea it would probably be a better idea to only create new characters when you actually need them, otherwise you are wasting time on something that might never even be in the game.

February?? What are you talking about, he can't release it by March! April is too tight of a deadline to add 1,000 more unseen characters to the game. Just for saying that, he's going to delay the release by another month. See you next July.

The previous version is better in every way, and there's like 10x more scenes and more work went into every individual scene. The current game is more of a slideshow than the original was, because the development has been so slow it still hasn't reached the "open world" part, and won't even reach it in the next update, if it ever comes.
The whole remake happened because he was trying to get better render quality and fix some body types, so you might notice slight improvement there (even though the alleged improved bodies don't have any scene anyway, the biggest offender being the mom and you won't see scenes with her until next decade), but the new version is basically empty and its character designs are infinitely worse, so the quality trade-off isn't even worth it, since everything looked good enough in the initial version to begin with.
You can just look at the preview images to realize the remake isn't remotely ready to be out, the few scenes there are are some random-ahh animations with faceless bodies
The original is an excellent game and is the only reason you still see a 4.5 rating today instead of a fat zero despite the obvious milking. No real reason to open the remake currently, unless maybe you want to see the downfall after playing the original.
