Man this dev should be ashamed of himself. first year worked his butt off and had the barebones of a good game great premise good execution and start to expand on, four years later and reduced to an overly long prologue with no actual game anymore just a vn,
decent character writing but how the heck did the models get worse. and the entire prologue is dragging on honestly don't understand why devs don't pass the games onto others when they lose all interest.
Dont know if they make enough money to not have another job anymore so cant blame him if hes not getting paid and this is a hobby project but if hes getting paid even 500$ a month this project isnt worth that anymore.

Eh, I wouldn't call it a feat of strength. Those numbers mean nothing if most of it is spent on dreams, masturbation and foreplay, all for it to ultimately end up in the same place the last update left off. Like I had to go back and count the gallery because I'm looking for these 100+ sex scenes. Idk why they put 100+ in the changelog when most of it is what we've already seen before. Wouldn't be surprised if that applies to the renders and animations as well.
Also, eternum is the wrong game to compare this to. That game is dripping quality from beginning to end and is NOT a remake.

I've been active with Eternum since before launch and I know what kind of comparison I've made. The idea is to explain that they are both using a prefab rendering software on renpy (HS2 vs. Koikatsu). It's readily apparent that they are of vastly different quality, but my intention is to show what the roof should be for quality and quantity over a predefined period of time.

That's a lot of damn work for koikatsu hentai and it's not fair to say that it isn't.

Just to be clear, Lessons in Love, the absolute beast of a game with 300+ hours of content that is heavily focused on story and actually great renders have 38,7k+ renders.
Curious. Maybe he is counting what he should've had if he was actually working on this game?

While I do hate that the game got a remake before it was even done, and that I prefer several of the original models to the new ones (the femboys I generally preferred their original designs), and that this takes three eternities between updates; all that aside I do like the general idea of what is being made. It's massively improved the background story for the game, and fleshed out a lot of characters a lot more (plus some got straight up an upgrade, the mom is the single best example of this comparing original and remake).

If this updated faster I honestly think there wouldn't have been as much backlash as its gotten, but as is it's so damn slow to update that it feels real sucky for those who've been following this games development for half a decade now. Unlike a lot of other cash grab remakes it does have /some/ improvements, but it's not enough to justify setting the story back years. Oh well, the original is still a very decent experience to replay every now and then.

No remake, it’s abandoned. Don’t waste your time. Once AI gaming is perfected, rendering a game can be done with one day (of course there’s already sex games made with AI but they’re still need improvement).

Definitely need to turn off the annoying as fuck text blips and other sound effects when going over options, and having a dedicated "voice sound" slider that does nothing is also weird.

The seperate voice slider is standard for the ren'py player. Unfortunately, it seems that no game maker ever uses this sound channel. I've played ALOT of ren'py games and that has been my experience.

Finished the game last night its fun but for what it is but its kinda dragged on for no reason with the hospital scenes. I overall like the more fleshed out story but this is essentially the same patch but with more context and like 30 scenes that, while hot, dont really add anything to the story. Someone commented comparing the OG and the Remake to Full Metal Alchemist vs Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, which I feel lik is a perfect analogy. I like the more fleshed out story but for the long updates(which i understand it just 1 guy) and to be in the same place storywise after a year just doesnt feel great. And the ending of this portion kinda feels like a slap in the face after several repeatative hospital scene, wet dreams and stalking numerous women literally begging for dick in the hospital only to finally get the idea to just FUCK THE WOMEN AND FUTAS BEGGING TO BE FUCKED after days of blue balls just to end before you can actually fuck anyone. im still hopful but i can see thu frustrations of those coming from the OG to the Remake.
