So, if I read that right, v0.2 will have ALL of the content the OG had up to the last version, but remade with the new characters, locations, etc? If that's the case, then we won't be having an update until gta 6 comes out lmfao, unless he has most of it done already.

Or he just will have 1.2, 1.3, etc filling out more stuff over time, until he reaches "2.0" which is when he'll have got to the same point as he was before. Hopefully with all the assets already built, and all the writing essentially already done, and with better hardware, he'll be able to get back to that point slightly faster than he got there originally, but of course we'll just have to wait and see.
Obviously the haters are going to assume the worst and act like it's the end of the (twisted) world already and yell and scream that it will take years, while the hardcore faithful will proclaim that the next update is "right around the corner" at all times. But realistically we'll just have to see what happens, and more than likely it'll be a few months between updates, but hopefully he'll either have really big updates after a few months like he did in the past, or slightly smaller updates closer together to try and catch up. Either way, I'm fine waiting, it's not like I'm spending any money on it, and I've got lots of other games to play in the meantime.

Played the new version and it was good ngl but so short tbh.
I feel like the dev could've of just combine his new work to his previous work and just replace the characters with the new models, add new scenes, and new places.
I mean it kinda waste to start over again given the progress from the original game was, I don't mind starting over again if the dev did what I said. But time will tell I just hope the update can come faster given how much planning he did last year when he mentioned about the rework.

That's exactly what I thought. This story remake is totally unnecessary. They could have just updated the existing game with new girls and designs, but to remake the story from scratch? I don't know, it seems strange.

The thing is, Snats seems to have had fundamental issues with the coding and structures he set up for the game from the very beginning, on top of not being happy with the models and the story from top to bottom.
I get the desire to just have him continue on from where it was with the new models, but if he wasn't happy with a large chunk of the game, it was always going to bother him and I've seen far more games die because of devs just losing interest in something because they are disappointed in the earlier parts of the project but didn't feel they would be allowed by their fans to revamp any of that older content. Some of them just start a new project and give the old one a disappointing conclusion if we're lucky. But most just abandon the old one completely or go radio silence altogether.
I'd rather see an enthusiastic Snats making a remake he's interested in making than a disinterested Snats finishing an original version he feels obligated to continue working on despite being unhappy with, personally.

I get it, the devs been motivated lately and wanted the game to be better. But here's the thing though will it last? What if in the end he wanted to remake it again from scratch? I feel like instead of starting over and over again he could've just the use his previous content he had and make it better but not in the beginning.
Just hoping his candle won't burn out faster because I do like the characters he made (but also hate some of them from the rework). Motivation can be a blessing and also burden cause once burn out he'll lose focus to continue and just start over again but I hope it won't.
If anyone is confused revamped is short. the old version is long and detailed containing a good amount of content dev is trying to enhance his original game with more in-depth story but it is lacking the original games feel and losing the original magic the game has, try to wait for a couple of years to properly review the rework but I feel that the dev would be better to continue his work by continuing his original work but I still hope for the best for the rework

I'm honestly looking forward to the remake, while some things did change, the model and animation quality undeniably increased significantly, even if some of the flavor was lost, and some design changes, like MC, are universally disliked.
I'm looking at it to be more like a FF7 rebirth type of situation, where the remake will be something akin to the original, but different, and, at the end of the day, the original still exists, the Dev didn't take it down either, you could just say that the original is done and the remake is a spiritual successor to that.

I wanted to be a contrarian and say it's great and all that but I just can't lie.I like the models showed in the game and the scenes so I though it would be easy to praise the game but then the dev had to include choices.... this points to routes, secret scenes and all that BS, so either way he eliminates that or provides a walkthrough with every release.

Considering the last version was filled with holidays. So, we will probably be missing those holidays.
Personally I don't mind choices if Dev add more contents for each routes. In most cases that end up in shits and we finish the game in 5 mins if we are not interested in multiple playthrough. Funny shit, I replayed the old tw more times than this one lol

Yeah, not exactly a fan of the split routes either, but it seems more like an alternative outcome situation, so my monkey brain that already save scums every single choice doesn't have that big of an issue to get all the content in a single run.
This becomes especially easy once you edit your save file to have 99 of every stat, so you aren't locked out of any choice either.
The thing is routes are a cheaper way for a dev to create "multiple games" but in most cases are a failure, most devs are already overworked with just one game now imagine having to create the same amount of content for the routes.
