I'd be more sympathetic to the anti-piracy whatever nonsense except
1) Snats literally came on this site himself on the Koikatsu games thread minutes before he posted his Patreon page, talking about how great it was and saying he'd be honored if people checked out the game FROM THIS SITE FOR FREE
2) The Patreon model isn't about paying for content, otherwise it'd have to meet different legal standards, nothing you put on there can be "sold" in a typical fashion, or else they'd have to take down all the milkers and people would be able to sue for undelivered content, which is why honestly I defend milkers because they're taking advantage of what the Patreon model is for, patronizing an artist who can't earn regular pay for their work or needs support to finish a work which they can then sell
3) This site drives most of the traffic to Patreon games that have blown up after about July 2017, more so than reddit, SVS, ULMF, LewdGamer, whatever other platform you can think of, and a whole infrastructure of other leak/aggregation sites have grown up out of F95's shadow and taken their model and used it for profit/without promoting creators
So my point is, between using this site for what's basically hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of free advertising every month and wanting eyeballs from a pirate site without wanting anyone to actually pirate (lol?), and taking advantage of Patreon's model where you don't actually have to provide a product to anyone, but you're asking for people to pay for the privilege of looking at progress updates for your alpha product (again, lol?), you can't want it both ways and get mad when you don't get it. I'd be a bit more sympathetic if people were leaking like $20 plus supporter exclusive wallpapers or comics or whatever right away but that almost never happens with game products. I have porn videos from high tiers for LOQO that I didn't see leaked elsewhere for a year or two.
Also pirating updates doesn't preclude you from supporting something. I've spent hundreds on games over a few years, then stopped supporting them at some point, and restarted later. Assuming everyone on here never supports any of the games they download is stupid. There's a decent correlation on between popularity on here and popularity on Patreon for games released after mid 2018; if there weren't, no profit-minded Patreon devs would be on the platform. If someone doesn't support you at first or stops supporting you at some point doesn't mean they never will. No point tilting at windmills like I indicated in my last post on this thread.
