I agree, if I just see a game on Patreon I'm very unlikely to just pay & play. However if I can try it out from an F95 DL and I really enjoy it I'm much more likely to throw a few bucks at it then. F95 also keeps me from wasting money on crap I won't like like bad graphics, shit English or kinks I don't want to see, like NTR.I don't know how true that is. What helps them is exposure and people supporting them on patreon or subscribestar. I don't see how leaking stuff that is meant for supporters helps them, if anything it gives people one less reason to support them since they can already play it for free anyway.
isnt he using koikatsu in the first place? dunno about the legality of that to begin with...I'd be more sympathetic to the anti-piracy whatever nonsense except
1) Snats literally came on this site himself on the Koikatsu games thread minutes before he posted his Patreon page, talking about how great it was and saying he'd be honored if people checked out the game FROM THIS SITE FOR FREE
2) The Patreon model isn't about paying for content, otherwise it'd have to meet different legal standards, nothing you put on there can be "sold" in a typical fashion, or else they'd have to take down all the milkers and people would be able to sue for undelivered content, which is why honestly I defend milkers because they're taking advantage of what the Patreon model is for, patronizing an artist who can't earn regular pay for their work or needs support to finish a work which they can then sell
3) This site drives most of the traffic to Patreon games that have blown up after about July 2017, more so than reddit, SVS, ULMF, LewdGamer, whatever other platform you can think of, and a whole infrastructure of other leak/aggregation sites have grown up out of F95's shadow and taken their model and used it for profit/without promoting creators
So my point is, between using this site for what's basically hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of free advertising every month and asking wanting eyeballs from a pirate site without wanting anyone to actually pirate (lol?), and taking advantage of Patreon's model where you don't actually have to provide a product to anyone, but you're asking for people to pay for the privilege of looking at progress updates for your alpha product (again, lol?), you can't want it both ways and get mad when you don't get it. I'd be a bit more sympathetic if people were leaking like $20 plus supporter exclusive wallpapers or comics or whatever right away but that almost never happens with game products. I have porn videos from high tiers for LOQO that I didn't see leaked elsewhere for a year or two.
Also pirating updates doesn't preclude you from supporting something. I've spent hundreds on games over a few years, then stopped supporting them at some point, and restarted later. Assuming everyone on here never supports any of the games they download is stupid. There's a decent correlation on between popularity on here and popularity on Patreon for games released after mid 2018; if there weren't, no profit-minded Patreon devs would be on the platform. If someone doesn't support you at first or stops supporting you at some point doesn't mean they never will. No point tilting at windmills like I indicated in my last post on this thread.

I doubt that, he chooses the people who represent him. Anything anyone who directly represents him says is as good as coming from him IMO. It's a good tactic to save face and look like a nice guy to have reps go out and play bad cop and never ban anyone/speak badly about pirate sites yourself or however you want to think about it. If he didn't care about piracy, he would tell his mods and they wouldn't care/ban you.I could be mistaken, since I haven't been following along for very long. I just want to say that I haven't personally seen Snats getting involved with the anti-piracy/anti-f95 sentiment. I mean, just the day prior to me getting banned I claimed to be a pirate and f95 user while Snats was active and talking in discord and wasn't banned at that time. The ones that seem to hold the strongest opinion are the mod who banned me and a red named guy who seems to be very active.
I am unsure of how the colored names work on their discord nor how they coordinate with their patreon/dev status. I can assume that Snats himself plays at least some role in supporting the culture and opinions they develop, but I don't know how stronger he feels/acts personally. As things stand, I can't 100% place the blame entirely on him. At worst he actively encourages their antagonist role against these issues, at best he simply ignores the issues on both sides, he may not even see it as his job to interfere. As far as I know it is just a few vocal SJW attempting to support his game in whatever way they can.
EDIT: Yes, that's kinda grey area I guess, but I think there's something in Illusion's licensing that lets people use their engines/tools for profit, like any other licensed platform (photoshop, corel, etc.), but I haven't read it myself so I may be wrong. Even so, hypothetically let's say Illusion decides to suddenly go after everyone using their products to make money under Japan's new laws against selling modified game data, assuming they somehow had international jurisdiction, using Patreon he could maybe argue that he's just putting his work out for free as a hobby and people aren't paying for his game, they're paying for the Patreon updates, again which is why all this anti-piracy crap people are on is completely laughable.isnt he using koikatsu in the first place? dunno about the legality of that to begin with...
Eh, this is totally different but I'll say it anyway. I didn't want to play Horizon Zero Dawn, but after It became free on #PlayAtHome I actually enjoyed it. Now, I didn't want to play Horizon Zero Dawn because the MC was a women. Now I wish I'd bought it way back. Below are examples of me pirating games then buying them for-real after enjoying them(I swear I bought Skyrim and Fallout 4 THREE times! On PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Even the season pass for Fallout I bought three times. Fucking Ridiculous now that I think about it)I don't know how true that is. What helps them is exposure and people supporting them on patreon or subscribestar. I don't see how leaking stuff that is meant for supporters helps them, if anything it gives people one less reason to support them since they can already play it for free anyway.
Dude...?Now, I didn't want to play Horizon Zero Dawn because the MC was a women.
There are some people like that, I don't get it either lol.Dude...?
Pretty sure the last Wolfenstein had a large issue due to the main characters being female. While I don't mind mainstream stuff, but I don't play female protag porn games. It has to do with believing you are the protag for immersion or some shit, don't remember much. Long story short, I think this is a fairly common occurrence that just doesn't get talked about a lot due to the current culture.Dude...?
I get porn games because of self-insert... but mainstream stuff?? Really? My guy is the type of person to deny that he hates women but then claim the next minute that "there just aren't any marriable women around."Pretty sure the last Wolfenstein had a large issue due to the main characters being female. me a dude actually prefers female protag games, but i am not someone that tries to self insert myself into the characters, i see it more like reading a book or watching an interactive movie, and a little eyecandy goes a long way for meEh, this is totally different but I'll say it anyway. If that's how he (Snats) feels then people shouldn't be on here antagonizing F95zone members lol, IDC if his discord talks shit about us, but there are people on here berating pirate site members for being pirate site members. Also they banned chainedpanda from discord for being an F95 member openly so not sure what they want people to think about that... I mean at the end of the day it doesn't matter much, but if he's got people on here claiming to speak on his behalf berating us then some of us are going to respond to them.Where's what they said on Discord.

Hey everyone! We want to say some stuff about the F95 situation that seems to go around. People have started to put things in our mouth so we want to make this clear:
- People on patreon/SS help us a lot, without them we wouldn't have the donations-pics channel that is open to the public. Thanks to them we can share things like Jaiden's comic with everyone. The only thing we really keep for them is the dev-notes and sneak-peeks. And of course we can keep working on the game thanks to them.
- We're not against F95 or people wanting to get the game early, but we have put so much effort in this update that we can't even begin to explain it. That's why we want the people that do support us to get the game a bit before public release. That timer used to be 2 weeks from patreon release , but now it's only 5 days. It's not that we want to gatekeep or that we hate the site or anything, I'm not sure where that came from.
- It will be available for everyone after those 5 days, and we want as many people as possible to play it.
That's about it, and I hope our stance is cleared. If I'm honest all we want is to finish the update so everyone can enjoy it.
"We will just have to keep waiting."Some people said that they already released for some patrons I don't know if that is true or not. We will just have to keep waiting.
