7zip has outclassed it by a mile since like 2015.
Last devnote was on 17 may nothing new since then not even on discord.
I ain't rioting if it ain't fire, just gonna do something else. Won't complain about it not updating at my preferred pace.
Speculation from what I'm seeing in the discord server, there is a high chance this update won't be coming this month.

The dev said in early May that it would most likely drop by the end of May, if not then first week of June. Guess it won't be the case
You shouldn't take what Snats says for granted. When the last update was released he said updates will now happen monthly which wasn't the case. I didn't expect him to actually do that, but a month ago he said the update will be ready in 2 weeks so yeah. He spends all his time working more than 10 hours a day making content for the next update but not implementing it into the game. After he is finally finished with the animations and stuff I expect it will take a lot of time to code everything and write the dialogue, without counting the time that must be spent for testing, fixing bugs, and reading for grammar mistakes. I still believe the wait will be payed off, but all we can do now is wait and hope the weekly dev notes will become weekly again.The dev said in early May that it would most likely drop by the end of May, if not then first week of June. That means 5 days after it is released for Angels. They are the alpha testers of the update and it's just the time you have to wait from when they get it until it becomes public.
tbf last time the FAQ was updated was near release of v0.5 so, there might be something. Who knows, I'll just wait till something happens.

its eventually coming the next days. he aint posting no more on all platforms so my guess is that he is really close to finishing it. the next pose is probably going to be "new version out for angels"
