yup. done with this game. updates like once or twice a year and now he's remade the game for the third time, i think. never playing this game again. which is sad as before this remake that no one asked for, this was one of my fav games.

The game was cool until I played it, but it froze in one part and I can't get out of there and the only thing missing is being able to use cheatcode or being able to change the attributes through the save editor.
Now I know this "new" version of the game hasn't caught up to where v39 left off, but comparing the content that is in both versions, this feels like a huge downgrade in every single way. It's literally the same game with just a bunch of stuff removed, how is that an improvement?
I've played both versions back to back just now and even the camera angles are worse than they were in v39.. What was the point in changing the renders for the intro in the train for example, they were fine before? This "Redone" version feels like a waste of time and only made the game worse if you ask me.
One of the main themes of the game as it's being advertised is the protagonist being able to change gender due to some weird experiment, yet even though v39 hasn't even reached that point in the story the developer thought "Well, guess it's about that time where I start from scratch again"... Yeah, makes total sense...
Honestly at this point I don't even know why I'm surprised anymore. After seeing things like this happen many times with many different games, I'm fully convinced a lot of these developers don't give a fuck about the actual quality of their game and just spend most of their time looking for ways to artificially extend the development process in order to suck as much money out of their supporters as possible. Because what other reason could there possibly be for them to make decisions like these? No one in their right mind would look at this new version and think to themselves "Yeah, yeah this is much better. Such an improvement"...
But hey... Maybe in 10-15 years the developer will prove us all wrong and this game will be absolutely amazing...

Am I reading this changelog wrong, or is the "update" this time literally just the dev removing content?

The cheats are there to enable shota/loli content as well as allow you to edit stats for both your character and characters that you meet along the way.for me it say activated when i enter them but i cant use any cheat or see a scene replay so dunno...

v0.40REDUX does not have any sort of character stats screen like there used to be in v0.39, as such they do not serve any purpose as of yet. There is also not a gallery, so you can't view scenes again should you wish to
It is exactly as it says in the changelog. The developer cutted a massive amount of content, changed the entire intro to fit his new vision and also changed the UI when you are at Annie's apartment
holy shit I can't believe I actually felt some hope seeing v40 on the title card for this game just to see its some bullshit remade redux redone the remaster update where the only changes is that content literally gets removed
This isn't about whether people support Greono or not, I am sure that there are many here that actually supported the game or used to because they had a genuine interest in it due to the gameplay and story being fun.
The problem is that the dev cutted down the content so much that this could be considered a demo. I am absolutely not against GG to take their time to give their supporters quality based content, but what they instead brought was very much disappointing. There is almost no content to engage upon besides the scene with Lindsey, the gloryhole blowjob to Bret and the sex scene with the lady that gets drugged in the train... at the very least, those are the scenes that I managed to find. Once you reach Annie's apartment, you get a few interactions and whatnot but then once she goes to school, there's absolutely nothing for the player to do besides exercising and going to the supermarket
Quests are only for show at the moment, since most of them you can't even really do and the Gloryhole phone quest that you can actually do, doesn't have an outcome yet. I'm sure you understand how that's disappointing for the consumers and a massive downgrade to what v0.39 was.
As a result from this, the dev likely lost many supporters, some of which made their voice known right here and needs to work extra hard now to make up for the disappointment that was this update. It wouldn't have been too much if an issue if GG actually took some more time to create some more content, at the very least maybe meeting the Aunt, Juan and the girl which I forgot the name (if they even plan to bring those back).. or maybe even just allow players to do something else than just exercising and going to the supermarket.
Anyways, let's just hope that things look up from here. Greono has a lot of work to do
Yeah he is haha 7 years stuck in it. Makes me want to watch Ground Hogs Day hahaha great movie.

just like me. Only option is exercise, study and sleep. Nothing else happens. Can't even work at the market. Day 20 and nothing.
Go to Gameplay, scroll down, and copy-paste to where it says Unlock Content or Unlock Cheats

No, I get that but in a previous version you could edit the stats in a separate menu with cheats activated, I'm not seeing any way to actually use the cheats once activated in the newest release
Sure ! But don't forget that it was more of a joke than anything else. Don't expect anything. TBH, just extract the game assets, if you want to continue this.
