Honestly, I can see it never fully reaching that point. I mean if you want you can pursue just one girl but I think this game will allowu more freedom. There are some mutually exclusive girls, but it is more open in allowing you to go after multiple girls and I think the dev is going to allow more freedom and some possible mini-harems if we want.

i think the game dynamic will change drastically in next update as per the cliffhanger of ep3. The opening scene with Ana now actually make sense and plays important role and with everything we already know we might learn a lot about what kind of protagonist we play as.

In Ch 1, Ana has two lines of dialogue that would preclude her administering u4ia to the MC during his dream:
"It's one of the most deadly poisons on the planet."
"And you just drank a dose that would kill an elephant."
Even if Ana was talking negatively and euphemistically about u4ia by calling it a "poison", there's nothing euphemistic about "kill an elephant".
The most interesting point of the Ch 3 cliffhanger is that the lobby and Ana's apartment in the MC's Ch 1 dream are identical to the lobby and Ana's apartment in the hotel on the island during the Ch 3 cliffhanger. That means the MC has been to the island before but he doesn't remember/recall.
In the MC's dream, Ana alludes to knowing and having a romantic relationship with the MC previously. Same with Samantha on the island.
Drifty is mind-fucking us... we just don't know how or why yet.

That's funny. Since no one leaks Ep3.1p all the players of the F95 version will whine about broken saves with release of Ep4.
You can end up where you want. Nothing has to happen with any of the other girls.

I want to say the MC is a clone version with whatever generic disease edited out, obviously there isn't much evidence to this guess but it's just a feeling I get.

I understand what you mean. This is also the only thing about Ep3 I really dont like.
Let`s say your on Paige path, she is at the cabin, you can name here in the Never have I ever game, she also sleeps there, BUT you can only sleep with 5 other girls. Very weird indeed in my opinion.
I think this is because Drifty wants us to let us know every girl in the game.
But the way he does it is not so good in my opinion if you only want 1 girl and nothing more.
Thats why If I where on another path as those 5 girls I choose Jackies room.
She is the only girl you know from your childhood and is your very best friend.
Sleeping with here would be the least problem compared to the other girls if you are on another path.
You love Jacky as your sister, not your girlfriend (if you want).

The only thing that makes me think it can't be clones is memories.
Unless Drifty goes with implanted memories from the actual son and the year hospitalization was the incubation period, I'm going to lean towards twins or even triplets. One being MC, one being Samantha's ex and the last being the one who killed Celeste's sister

wait for ep4 will be quite long since ep2 came out early year and ep3 got out recently.And I played all paths before that news came out

I think they are after MC`s money because he own half of the companie witch is alot of money.
Ana gave MC poison to kill him, not u4ia (I think). Otherwise he would not be 1 year in hospital.

Is it ever established how recently the u4ia drug was developed? If it is relatively recent, it could have been an antidote to the poison that MC had ingested and his father funded the R&D, only for it to have additional effects.
A year in hospital being pumped full of experimental drugs, only for Jack to break him out and have MC being driven to get as far away as possible, only to end up back at the door of the woman who poisoned him.
