1. Picture formats other than.jpg are only needed for professional cameras with 10 or 12-bit color reproduction, or for sprites with transparency. 90% of user monitors are 8-bit.
2. Image resolutions above 1280x720 are needed only for photorealistic renders, where you can see the texture of the skin, irises of the eyes, the facture of hair, foliage, etc.
3. If a post-processing filter is used, especially graininess, the resolution can be lowered to 1024x576 or even 854x480, and/or the render quality can be lowered by up to 70%.
This will significantly reduce the weight of the game as a whole, and speed up the rendering process, and by eye, the quality can be distinguished only by a direct comparison of two pictures, and with difficulty and insignificant.
