While in most cases it's warranted, usually when there is an *unusual requirement* that gets called out and listed directly in the thread, usually in the area associated with the download links. Normally Installation just covers the standard installation requirements. (No, I didn't have this problem, just saying)

Key and/or online activation?! Yeah, no thank ya. Even if its was the best game of all times and had all the answers i wouldn't even put up with this shit if i could save million of lifes ffs.
Wow the amount of overreactions to a key gen -_-, its literally clicking a link, getting on without any issue or work and then typing it in.
It serves no purpose, so why bother implementing it in the first place?

as amazonessking said, anti-piracy, you don't want to know how many sites are out there that take shit from places they don't own and sell it on. Im pretty sure not too long ago there was a French? site that took porn games from here and tried to sell them as if they owned them.

It was italian. I don't think that's the reason why this kind of anti-piracy measure is being implemented, though, rather just to prevent people that don't support her or something from playing the game. As much as I don't like it, I don't blame devs for trying to do these kind of things, as you can see it stops the lowest common denominator from even playing the game, even though it's a really basic protection, so it works, even when this was really really common like 20 years ago.
Still, pirates will always win regardless.

Anyways back on topic. My gut says pass on this game. I am one of the people who supports a few patreon games and I learn about them here. If the game is good it warrants investment into the developer. Note, patreon isn't about buying game access, it's supposed to be about supporting a developer so the game can be made at all. So when I see anti piracy measures that means the games isn't worth supporting. How am I to know if a game is worth investing in without a sample?
