They do claim to be very free speech orientated but I think it's owned by Russians and they probably won't be into the content in UTW. There was a group I was following call Wyrd Isle Collective which was a bunch of pagans dancing around naked in the woods and after a while there channel was shut down for nudity.
You should put yourself into the shoes of the steam employee that has to approve the game.
Why in the hell risk your own career and job with a porn game with incest and other kinky stuff, when you could just trow that away and focus your attention on a more mainstream project?
use ur brain, you're not risking your job and career by denying the game and allowing resubmissions. gazer worked hard to put this on steam, denying the game makes sense! BUT completely banning the game from ever being resubmitted even if its fixed the issues makes no sense. if anything i think doing that terrible decision should be career ruining.
use ur brain, you're not risking your job and career by denying the game and allowing resubmissions. what he did was incorrect, the game shouldnt be 100% banned from ever returning. because you can point out the issues and allow resubmissions of the game then you at least allow the creator to have a second chance and fix those issues. there's noting career-ruining about that.

only thing abt this that rly bugs me is how the game is completely banned from ever being resubmitted, even if they fixed said issues.
i hope he can get in contact with steam and somehow try to negotiate bc this game being on steam is very beneficial in almost every aspect of developing. (more income, more publicity, more enthusiasm, etc)
Steam does this for most adult games that they claim have underage characters. They do this because during the initial months after they allowed porn on Steam, they attracted controversy when feedback about what aspects of the characters looked "underage" to them was discussed over e-mails with game devs, went public, and made them look dumb or hypocritical. Their solution to this PR problem was to generally immediately ban games and not discuss why. (And it's public knowledge that some of the reviewers have an agenda and aren't sincere in their judgments. That's why it's a "crapshoot" since you don't know which reviewer will be assigned to you when you submit an adult game to Steam.) At least, that's what they do for indie devs. Some of the bigger adult game companies like MangaGamer have a line of communication with specific people in Valve, and they are often given a chance to make cuts before the game is outright banned.
that's not the reason it was banned though. it was banned for including a minor not being a femdom game.
still, banning the game from ever being resubmitted is ridiculous. and i honestly don't get why you're arguing that the game should be banned from ever returning. problems are meant to be solved, steams job is to tell them why they cant approve it then numerics job is to solve it.

well made explanation! i appreciate it as i understand the situation further. steam is basically just being a bitch banning shit in order to avoid controversey. it's also extremely hypocritical and immature like u said as we see smash boy being on steam and not utw.
i do hope though that they can somehow renegotiate with steam to get it on there as it's very useful for numerics development of the game. banning games like this is wrong
Just finished the DLsite version and to be honest not worth the 15 dollars if you already played the patreon version. On top of being censored, i've seen only three new scenes. It was about the MC dreaming about Alice. The scenes are extremely short (the shortest of the game by far) and almost no dialogue.
So, if they don't plan to give us a patch for the censorship, i don't see any use of keeping this version.
The creator said they will never release an uncensored version or patch, in a patreon comment from a few minutes ago. The patreon version also won't be uncensored. This is extremely disappointing.
