I am not asking for pure realism, just at least a semblance of believability. I can overlook things that stretch credulity but some things are just so out there, it takes me out of the story completely.

If this game strains your credulity that much, then really take yourself out of it completely by not playing. The developer is busy developing new updates and is not going back to change scenes that are many releases back. Complaining here is not going to change that one little bit.

They are mainly window dressing BUT play a part in the final episode. If she has enough awards she will be transferred to detectives i.e. achieve her ambition.

She could never openly cheat on Mike, but if she had no choice because she was being blackmailed or had to complete a mission or follow orders then she could justify it to herself.

Secondly, this is Fiction and there is no attempt to make the plots believable or likely. Most fiction relies on readers suspending disbelief in order to enjoy a yarn.

Thirdly, I am not trying to make a game where all outcomes are possible; where everything has a choice. Quite the opposite- I'm trying to make a story where some things MUST happen to keep the integrity of the narrative and to keep erotic events happening. This story is about a girl with peculiar kinks and ambitions so giving her the choice, for instance, not to have the kinks is a different story. Whilst I agree that a much better game would allow every event to be optional, it would take longer to do. It isn't a case of just having an opt-out of events (not least because if you opt out of every event then nothing happens). Taking part in an event has an impact on future events, things people say, how people behave or react in the future. You literally have to make two (or more) games.

Yeah, the forced blackmail is a major problem in this AVN, if it's something impossible to avoid, it should be a complex situation and not a cheap trick against a police officer; maybe it should be taken as a comedy portion of the AVN.

That is fine, it is your game, your vision after all. Just goes against my beliefs so much that I can not separate those parts from the overall narrative, which ruins it for me. Absolutely, every thing you said is right, and actually very diplomatically stated.

I can understand people complaining when they have to wait a year or more between updates, but not the content of the authors story telling.

As one person said just "move along these are not the droids your looking for".

Hell according to this logic we should change star wars because I did not like some part of it, Samuel Langhorne Clemens because of all the ethnic slang. William Shakespeare works, because all of his play's are just to hard to grasp and understand what there even saying for the youth of today.

There is a psychological thing when people get immersed in an AVN or any other kind of game, they feel like part of that world... but the rules of that world are dictated by somebody else and you may find some of these rules wrong like in real life. As weird as my theory sounds, I think is true

In an ideal world yes, in the real world with time constraints and writers own personal choices, no. I started writing a title and to people who love Futa, Gay and/or Hairy lovers, I'm sure they would like to be included BUT I know zero about Futa, Gay and/or hairy lovers so I can't write anything about that world.

Ideally and for business sake we would love to include everyone and everything but sadly this is not possible.

No. A good game should have a clear vision and execute it well. I’ve no interest in playing Dark Souls but I can see the games in the series are well executed and why they appeal to fans of that genre.

Soulslike is a genre, meaning a high-difficulty game, easy to die. So only people who like this genre where the difficulty can't be changed will play it. The thing is, in a matter of AVNs, the players like that everything could be avoidable and have a large number of kinks to avoid or not.

I too have tried to write games and do the CYOA style and leave the player with three options each time A what they should have done B what they could have done and C what they chose and how that effects the outcome .......its not an easy task so i applaud your efforts ....... the butterfly effect that creates can sometimes derail the story you are trying to write and in the end you are left with a mess of code. then some one says well couldn't she have done this and so you try to add that and then think about how that effects everything you have written ....and if you keep going it get worse and worse because that leads to more options ........ and before long the game starts taking on paths that you never intended ..... lots of them leading to more bad ends

So i am glad you are sticking to your guns on this point ..... your art and writing is superb in my opinion ...and I am always of the mind set when i see complaints about a story ....if they dont like it they can try to write their own game ....and THEN THEY MIGHT GET IT ........its not as easy as it looks to be sure .
