Dumb question from a dumb poster, but why is the compressed version (14.2) different from the current OP version (14)? I ask because I just DL-ed the updated WTmod which is for v14, so I want to make sure there won't be any compatibility issues before possibly overwriting game files with mod files? New to this game, so don't know if dev numbers updates in an unusual way (like 14.1 then 14.2 then 14, using decimals to indicate beta versions before final update releases).

Honestly, for me this is one of those "Can't stop watching the train wreck" games ... and not the worst one I play either.
Downloaded and launched the version 14 from the OP and looked in the about section from the main menu, it shows as 14.2 so it just looks like its file name is not specific to showing 14.2 but the game is the 14.2 version. Thanks. I went with the compressed version (labeled as 14.2) just to be safe and had no problems, but sounds like the normal version was good too.
I'm used to waiting for mods to update to the latest game version release, but I was a bit perplexed when it looked like the mod version was ahead of the posted game version (at least on the link I used at that time). I downloaded the compressed as well just in case. For the record, once you unzip the 14 version it does show the right filename of 14.2 (I didn't notice till after the fact) but yeah, just a little file name weirdness.Thanks. Well, I got one of those Unexpected Consequences. Had the MC take a pass on going undercover, he comes home from band practice and announces to the harem he is going undercover. I'm sorry, what? I went back and replayed it and made sure I clicked PASS on undercover. Didn't matter. Look, if it has to happen for the storyline, fine, but why the f*ck make it an option then?

To be fair, they probably didn't plan on people turning down the option to get back at the people who murdered his parents, nearly killed his first love and planned on raping his best friend to death.

Also, I have never spent more time in a game avoiding getting LI's preggers as I have in this game. I swear I've got like four different timelines running now where I'm basically having the MC turning down every potential LI possible just to avoid the chance of having ugly pregnant renders running around. Yes, I know there are those out there who like it. I ain't one of them. I didn't find it attractive or sexy in real life with my two kids, and I don't find it attractive or sexy in my AVNs, and if it gets to the point where it becomes completely unavoidable (except for a pregnant lesbian, and yes I said NO to her partner), that becomes the time when I no longer play the game. Just sayin'

MC is a college freshman who really doesn't come across as any kind of tough guy. I get your point, but if that's the case, it should never have been an option then. Or, make it where he has to go undercover because something happens that forces his hand. Which, honestly, is what I thought was going to happen when I chose to turn it down.

I'm the guy who tries to break the dungeon, or the DM when playing D&D. I've always had the job of trying to break the new sytems the companies I worked for had installed, find the flaws, find the holes. On games like this, I always get a kick of seeing how far I can push to the edge, to take it as far as it was written, try to run with a single girl in a harem game, etc. Obviously I can only get as far as it's written, but its surprising sometimes how far the wild rail will let you ride before you can't go any further.
Besides, I hate being told what I can and cannot do, and I'll always rail against it until I'm beaten down. Then I'll get up and do it again. I have a Quixotic anti-authority streak a mile wide.

Yeah, been there myself. Glad someone understands. lol Got asked why I'm still playing. Uhm.....I like the story, plus I really am curious how far the dev is going to let me skate. Besides, I'm curious if someone gets pregnant if I can drop them for being due to no longer being attracted to them. Yeah, probably not. No way a dev would write a story that way.
