I wish you luck in the future, it's probably going to take awhile for support to come in to be honest you have to build it up.

The team thing is probably a smarter move since it is a lot of work, my advice is to focus first on your ideas if you get something you're passionate about it's going to be a lot easier to work through the hard times.
