This looks really cool. But at a glance, it seems like this will need years to get to a playable state. Good luck, I hope you stick it out and cook something amazing.
Thanks! I hope it's not years. But GameDev is one surprise after another... Right now adding new "content" is about as fast as adding stuff in Ren'Py, in my estimation, so I am not convinced that's going to be the issue. The big issue so far is slowly adding all the features to the game that I want it to have, also the location art is a bit more than I probably should have decided to tackle.
Major slowdown is making the game engine.... but! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now! It's starting to approach a stage where 90% of all features are implemented (how well, is another issue entirely), so hopefully in the not too distant future it'll move from "tech demo" to actual "demo".
Looks promising, and I totally love the orc girl, but pretty ruff so far, keep at it!
Thanks! I am still mostly working on technical stuff, so the interface especially is lagging a lot behind, and content is sporadic and mostly resembles a trickle at this point. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before I dare to concentrate on spicier content.
Game does not start.
Shows grey Window for a few seconds, then closes again.

Firstly, I apologize for the long delay before I noticed your crash reports. Thank you very much for reporting! I was sick last weeks (well, I am still sick, but getting better) so I didn't check the forum.
That said, the crash dump file was appreciated but did not tell me anything about what caused the error, just that there was an exception.
If you find a .log file in the "AppData\Roaming\unfortunate_adventure\" somewhere in the folder or any subfolders, that might shed more light.
But if you do not see even a log file, or there is no splash screen art, the odds are that Godot 4.5 does NOT like your video card driver. For some reason.
Generally speaking, if the game doesn't launch at all, then it is something about Godot 4.5 that is not meshing with your system. Usually, as far as I know, it is Vulkan-related. Old video cards or old video card drivers, for example. But I can't really do anything about Godot itself.
You could try the new version, but if it crashes without even launching... updating your display drivers, or something like that is the only thing I can think of doing. Or using a different video card, which is a bit of an extreme solution to some random game on the internet, so probably not worth it.
But thank you for trying, and the reports. If any of you get it working, I'll be very interested in how!
