But this solution helped to avoid the problem in the scene with the game of truth and dare. Then apparently the previous incorrect algorithm works because in the morning Diana allowed herself to take a tease Reynold under the waterfall. But this already needs to be corrected by the dev!

The phone gets "used" in two different scenes. Once as a player-choice while peeing, the other while showing the last photo during the game. I think you are confusing the two.

While she is peeing, if she teased Reynold a button will jump up to look at the phone. If she did not tease Reynold, there is no option to look at the phone and she returns to the party. This is the phone scene that I was referring to as the bug in the IF statement.

The phone during the game, you are referring to, is not an actual phone interaction it's just flavor text that is supposed to present text based on the type of photo you took with Reynold.

I think the problem is the logic used for the IF statement in file sc_6_2w.rpy on line 426. I snipped a bunch of the extra code out for simplicity:

In the snippet above, it's checking if "var_6_2w_checkPhone" is set to True.

The problem lies in that "var_6_2w_checkPhone" has nothing to do with what photo was or wasn't taken. It is created at the top of the above file, and defined as FALSE. During the night camping scene, when the group discusses playing a game Diana excuses herself. While peeing, she has an option to check her phone or not. If she does, "var_6_2w_checkPhone" is set to True.

The problem lies right there. If you checked your phone, you always get the posed "topless/naked" photo, regardless of if Diana actually did or not.

When Diana poses topless, "var_6_1_di_topless" is set to TRUE. Further, if she then poses naked "var_6_1_di_naked" is set to TRUE. These are the variables we care about.

The 'IF' statement needs to be changed, so that it assesses those variables, not if she checked the phone while peeing:

should be

Python: 
if not var_6_1_di_topless:
The reason for only needing to assess one of the two variables is:
  • There are three possible scenarios, but keeping to the basics of the scene, there is 'clothed', 'topless', or 'naked'. Both topless and naked for the sake of simplicity are topless, for obvious reasons.
  • If Diana poses topless, she can further pose naked. If she does not pose topless, she cannot pose naked.
  • If 'define var_6_1_di_topless' is false, then she can't have posed naked, therefore could only have taken a clothed photo.

TL;DR. If you don't know how to edit Python BE CAREFUL! I'm NOT the dev, so caveat that it works for me! If you can unrpa the game files, find file 'sc_6_2w.rpy' and change line 426 from: if var_6_2w_checkPhone: to if not var_6_1_di_topless: and then delete the 'sc_6_2w.rpyc' (NOT rpy file!) file.

Now, all that said, there are other issues that can persist. If Diana takes a topless or naked photo, when she pees there'll be a prompt to check the phone. If you do, you get flavor text. If you don't, the small flavor is skipped but the phone will never disappear. It'll just keep flashing there....

So I took another look at it, and I was understanding the variables slightly wrong. It's a much simpler fix (above still works), but can be done even easier way. The TRUE/FALSE logic was simply reversed. For some reason, until I posted an above reply about the phone, then it dawned on me.
  • If Diana posted topless or nude, "var_6_1_di_topless" is TRUE
  • If "var_6_1_di_topless" is TRUE, then Diana will have an option while peeing to check her phone. This sets "var_6_2w_checkPhone" to TRUE. BUT it's only done at the time the assessment is done... so you won't see it until the screen before the phone might show up.
Essentially two variables are set for the same condition. The only time it would be different is if the player choses not to click the phone... but then they get stuck with a phone image on their screen until they do click it.

A simpler fix is just to add "not" in the statement to reverse the logic:
  • Originally: if var_6_2w_checkPhone:
  • Changed: if not var_6_2w_checkPhone:
My original post quoted above, or this fix will both fix the problem, and leave the variables in the same state.

That's too slow, since the point of the lewd plot set-up is to actually cheat on vacation to their wedding/honeymoon. But I otherwise agree. Too abrupt. Should happen on the island, but later.

You didn't comprehend my post in response to Mammal. I highlighted a portion of his post for a reason. He's saying in that section that she shouldn't cheat till they've gotten married, had the honeymoon and left the island, which just abandons the dynamic the setting (Island wedding/honeymoon) was specifically selected for in the first place.

Yep. I think you are right about that too. That would waste of a lot of time and build up. Still, I think the infidelity should be entry level, setting the stage for a larger expanded story. She cheats, maybe a blowjob at first, guilt, doubt, whatever, then a she gives into temptation again, a little more... finally getting fucked all out on the last night before returning home, then Dev can really expand the story out and give it legs.

Nah, I want it faster. Personally, i want the option for Jamal to blow his load deep in her at the party and knock her up so that she walks down the aisle with another man's baby growing in her belly. It would be quite poetic after the male MC cheated and knocked up his coworker. Otherwise, I think the pacing has been great.
