I think its picking a predetermined random number upon startup of the game so that you can't save scum it. If you do different locks before hand tho it should change the outcome. The random # has to be less than whatever the success rate it. So:

90% Success Rate Chest:

• Random numbers 0-90 → SUCCESS ✓
• Random numbers 91-100 → FAIL ✗

30% Success Rate Chest:

• Random numbers 0-30 → SUCCESS ✓
• Random numbers 31-100 → FAIL ✗

Scenario 1 (Same outcome):

1. Save game (next random number in queue is, say, #42)
2. Pick lock 1 → Uses random #42 → Fails
3. Reload
4. Pick lock 1 → Uses random #42 again → Fails again

Scenario 2 (Different outcome):

1. Save game (next random number is #42)
2. Pick lock 2 → Uses random #42 (outcome doesn't matter)
3. Pick lock 1 → Uses random #43 → Might succeed!
4. Reload save
5. Pick lock 2 → Uses random #42 again
6. Pick lock 1 → Uses random #43 again → Same result as step 3

All of these should change the outcome/random #:

• Picking a different lock first
• Getting into a battle.
• Any other RNG check (trap evasion, critical hits, etc.)

for you and the other person if they didn’t. There’s a pub in the sewers that you can only go to at night and the person running the bar can set you free for a small fee

In the sewers in town there's a secret pub that opens at night, a merchant on the left can remove locked equipment. Ways down are either though the Commerce Guild building at night (if you help a guy in the prison you get a key to it) or two pickable doors.

Any idea how to progress regulus quest?

For those who haven't started its a noble kid who you talk to, drops a letter which you have to give back to him.

Afterwards he gives you key to the merc hiring building which lets you access sewer pub easier and you meet him there to progress the quest, then sneak into senate to steal an empty wine(negotiate to get an invisibility potion)

Then next part is saving him from the swamp village, after getting out he somehow got jailed after a couple days and not sure how to progress from here

My issue is the lack of content for some of the more obvious stuff. Simon needs more content, Max doesn't have much. Professor Elmer goes nowhere. The banquets are useless unless you just want the Duke. Gustave doesn't get enough content for his role as going against the boy. Al doesn't get much content. Peter went nowhere.

Is there really no way to manually take a piss? as soon as I return to town she wants to take a piss and you are given 2 seconds to find the bathroom while slowed down, essentially bricking my save. Refuses to take a piss in the dungeon no matter how much I wait or drink. God I hate dumb piss mechanics.
