It took me a while to finally figure something out. The murky eyes(?) potion wasn't working, but if you get some of the town's "sausage" and feed it to the pig, it gives you dry straw. Then you can go to the off limits house in the bottom right and set it on fire at the fireplace, take a nap, then sneak in to the elder's place while she's away

Ah, nice. Had no idea what to do with that dry straw.

Are you getting any errors? If you aren't given a specific issue you can track down a solution for with Winetricks you are SOL.
You should strongly consider bootcamp regardless. Im pretty sure you can use it without activating windows.

I really wish there were a map. It's incredibly frustrating, I kept getting lost and running in circles until I finally started writing everything down in Notepad. That helped, and I'm not as lost anymore, but it comes with its own problem: it completely pulls me out of the game. Every time I have to switch to Notepad, my desire to keep playing drops a little more.

Im asking since all the options i found atm mostly lead to losing the virginity first and the only anal option i found atm requires sexual development at 50 % that obviously requires to lose the virginity first. I suspect an actual reason is that there's a lot more of a doujin culture in Japan so the idea of doing all of the setup for something like this game (maybe with a couple of helpers for art/music or something) is completely normal and cool, while a lot of western devs seem to want to use realistic-ish 3D models and/or treat it like it's going to be an AAA game.

I think I mentioned them in the request thread, but I'd say Labyrinth City Asylum, or even Magical Girl Konoha. They have their own differences and gimmicks, but I'm not aware of similar others.
