Because most people don't rate things properly, it's either a perfect 10/10 or a 1/10, no in between. You always get a ton of kneejerk reaction people who are "I fapped to this, so it's a 10/10" or simply rate it based on their fetishes "my fetish is here so it's a perfect game". Plus we have a 200 character minimum, and for games that are truly dogshit there is not much to even say. I remember rating like 3 games a 1 or 2 and struggling to explain why just to have my reviews removed randomly anyway, so I personally stopped interacting with the reviews here.
Honestly, the simple rule of not comparing to other games is a deal breaker. I read reviews PRECISELY to compare the game to other games so I know where they fit on A SCALE. So the reviews on f95 are beyond useless if I want to get actual info of any kind.
This one actually has stuff to write about so naturally we get more reviews.

You get it after catching the dude you found in swamp sabotaging the seal
If you're talking about area where MC wakes up at the start of the game, you can actually return there. But it needs some setup, mainly to deal with damage from leeches.
On 1st floor, there is a locked door in north-west in a room with a goddess statue. If you can unlock it, there will be a room with a lever that controls 2 gates: 1 with red enemy, other with way to a room with a watery floor. In that room there will be a path to beginning area on the west side, via corridor with leeches.
(I just pushed through with epic trap evasion, but it seems getting covered in slime is correct way to go about it)
I grinded the gold personally it was hella hard at the beginning because you're low on health and they have monsters that for some reason attack only you. once you manage to sleep a couple times it gets easier. The hardest part for me is getting out of the 3rd level because it was a literal labyrinth

Cathedral itself is to east of the mines. You can ride there if there is a carriage on right side of entrance to dungeon, but you probably won't be able to reach where this guy stands. From what I can tell, if you didn't unlock shortcut to main entrance of cathedral, you can only reach part where Elena's tomb is.
Other way to reach cathedral is through dungeon. On 1st floor, you need to reach (how to do it) area where game starts. In that zone, there will be a room with a door that requires 2 defiled maiden statues to unlock. This door leads to 4th layer Oz Cathedral.
