I don't recommend such radical teleportation; some quests are likely triggered by the opening of floors. For example, I couldn't complete Saimon's quest—I must have opened the fourth floor too early.
Theres a super obvious crack on the wall you can use your bomb with that you get after beating layer1 boss.
There's 3 cracks total all lead to layer2, 1 has lava walking potion behind them & starts you off in heigua village

yes, i think it's only on character creation screen. But if you start NG+ and have perfect element - wipe stats and bonuses, but keep items - so it's pretty easy to respec if you need it
if you press 'esc' you ll see the option inventory there my friend

you have minimap AND even some people already made multiple image maps for first layer - damn, just play the game - it's confusing, but not impossible

it's just a flower in flower spots, but only at night. Translation make some mistakes and it's translate diff in some "events" - just try to see familiar words and you good

You need to camp at camp sites multiple times. You can do this only once per expedition. Each camping session increases your cooking level by 1, unlocking one new recipe. This one is probably cooking level 5~7.
As for me, I'm not sure what to do on the 3rd and 4th floor. I did the otto sidequest on layer 3's city and got the items behind his house, I've beaten the statue at layer 5, the one at layer 3 that unlocks the path underground/deepest layer, I've explored layer 4 from both entrances, gotten some items but I suspect I missed something in layer 4. And layer 5's door behind the boss still doesn't want to open. There are so many memos and sidequests I have no clue what I may be missing (and have been playing in Japanese). I finished Simon's sidequest.
My question: what are the triggers for progressing from layer 3 to layer 4, and from layer 4 to layer 5? If there are places to explore and key items, screenshots are welcomed too.
Also: the priest at the church that gives you hints about what to do next, and the polite kid near the church both disappeared at the same time, I have no clue where they are. (Edit: nevermind, 1Kiri1's walkthrough in this thread already covered this part, thank you)

A question for everyone. What do you think is the most valuable skill, not thinking about battles in this game? Well, in my case I think is exhibionist ,cause I love every female MC with that feature, even if it's possible it doesn't mean I won't get more more than other users I like to get more horny my female MC just for being naked or some kind of that.
