Apparently, there's still some incompatibility with that game

This is how the in-game phone interface should look:

Now I wanted to make sure it actually was URM's fault, but if I try to load a save without URM this is what happens (created the save using last version):

Considering there's been a new update since I made that post, it may very well be this is a new issue and not the same as the previous one. Sadly, I've got to restart the game from scratch, something I loathe doing. So, the chance of me finding a fix or workaround is slim to non-existing. Even if I didn't have to start from scratch, I would skip this version since it's just an Early Access update.

(Sorry for my English, im French) Good evening! I use Urm from time to time, mainly to be able to take several paths in a Vn, and I have a question and a request:

Question: how can I change the opacity of the TextBox?

Request: Is it possible to add a different language for Urm? To make it easier for non-English speakers to use.

Thank you! Urm is really useful, even if I can't manage to exploit its full potential.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to reproduce this saves issue using v0.3.1 of the VN and URM v2.6.1.
Could be an issue with an older save. Does it also happen when you start a new game with URM installed, save it, remove URM and load the created save?

As a side note, at the time of my first post the game had v0.3.0 available, but even after updating to 0.3.1 the problem is still there. Then I tried starting a new game and then removing URM, still no luck.
I'm attaching the freshly made save in case it can help you.

Exception: Could not find font u'dream orphans bd it.ttf'.

is it possible to solve it?

Since 3.1 got released just a short while ago, I tried it O.O.C. with just URM and nothing else.
No Patch, no walkthrough, just the base game and URM 2.6.1...
And like I said before, I needed to start from scratch.

Hm, even if you started a new game without loading an old save, there's still the 'persistent' file.
And it looks like this gets loaded even if you start a new game, if there's one that the game can find.

Suggestion. Rename the `.\game\saves` folder to something else
Do the same to the `%appdata%\renpy\BetweenHumanity-1679746291` folder
Then launch the game and hit CTRL until Lucy gives you the phone in the hospital.

It looks like the game needs additional fonts (dream orphans bd it.ttf). You can try placing the fonts from the dream-orphans.zip archive into the “game” folder.

Alright I deleted the persistent file on game and appdata, started a new game, saved after the phone scene, but nothing changed. The phone interface is still bugged, and I still can't load up saves without URM.
I think I did everything correctly, to confirm this, the intro scene changed when I hit New Game (I couldn't skip the girls' scene giving a mini tutorial about the game's mechanics)

  • What version of URM are you using (make sure it's the latest)?
  • Which game has the issue (preferable a link to the game's thread)
  • If it's a crash (grey screen) attach the "traceback.txt" file
  • What did you do that caused the issue?
  • Attach a screenshot of the issue (if possible)
  • When URM gave an error (not a grey crash screen), check the log.txt file for lines starting with "0x52:"
  • What OS are you on?
  • Do you have any other mods installed? Does the issue still exist without the other mod(s)?

Grab the attached file and extract it into the "game" folder.
I think this is the best approach for this. The attached script catches if the game tries to quit and gives you the option to prevent/cancel that.

well the fix file for the game is working, but i can't save the game, the game keep showing error when i try to overwrite save or make new save, and i already try saving from renpy menu and the result are same.

can confirm that with URM(and the fix for this game) the game throws save errors at "The Hard Way"
