Q1. Can we swap characters in a scene? For eg, if the scene is with a female, can we swap with male/mc with it?
Q2. Can we do swap with NPCs too. Say scene 1 has NPC A and scene 2 has NPC B. I wonder if we can make the scene 2 with NPC A as well.

i am not asking for new renders. Just swapping between already existing pool of characters in the game.

I tried to use an extracted version of your mod (meaning, i copied a folder called "0X52_URM" whose contents are the extracted files of your mod to the "game" folder of a game which doesn't load the .rpa version), but i'm getting the following exception:

The .rpyc file itself exists, but i'm guessing this "dumb" solution of using an extracted folder instead of the .rpa does not work.

PS: Just for clarification, I didn't extract all the rpa's using urren in the game directory, i was just trying a "decompressed" version of your mod.

Anyway to search for this variable so i can throw it on ignore? I've tried all the usual methods, seems to exist on a level above the accessible...

It's not a variable, it's a method. I would have to look into this. It's the same as:

There's an option "Show all code in the code view". Turning that off should hide that condition

I'm playing homelander and it doesn't matter what name that I type in full or abbreviated, or what word I type some games just don't allow the URM mod to show anything of significance

You mean you cannot find anything when searching variables? Maybe they use unusual names? Just search without entering keywords to show everything or just search for known values

If you wouldn't mind looking at The interactions with The sin Within that makes it crash when saving, but only in free roam mode? It's both regular save and Quicksave that brings up the fault.

Has been already answered just a few posts above yours.

It can be worked around. It’s not an elegant solution.

1. Create the directory (you’ll do this only once) in your APPDATA–RenPy–MyBimboDream.
2. Start the game and load your save.
3. Open the console with Alt+O.
4. Paste the text: config.save_directory = r"AppData\Roaming\RenPy\MyBimboDream"

Now you can save your settings, but you’ll have to repeat steps 3 and 4 every time you restart the game.

Of course, you can also implement it in some .rpy that loads automatically.

define config.save_directory = "MyGame-1234567890"
# or
init -1 python:
config.save_directory = "MyGame-1234567890"

It's different in every game - all depends on what the dev has used for naming.

First and foremost, the latest version of the game works perfectly fine with latest version of URM:

• Watchpanel
• Character renamed
• customized text box
• URM configuration saved

And if I remove the 0x52_URM.rpa, the game still starts and works perfectly fine. So unless you fill out proper bug report (what versions are you using, what are you doing when the issue occurred etc.) there's probably no help.

Yup, seems like the dev added some lines of code to prevent URM (and/or other mods) from loading.

i haven't played the game in a long time so IDK which game version and URM version combo i played on, but somehow URM code was somehow baked into latest save causing errors trying to load save on completely untouched final game version. isn't URM not supposed to touch save files?

I can't say for sure, but as far as I know URM does not "put" anything in your save files. But if you use URM to change variables and stuff, those changed values will of course be part of the save file -- then again, it's just a changed variable, with no requirements for URM to be present if you load the save file at a later time.
