If you mean that the various relationships each take place in different realities, then yes, I guess I also play that mind trick on myself.
Otherwise, the MC must be a psychopath that lies and cheats his way through life to get as much pussy as possible without regard for how those he professes to adore might suffer.
I'm too lazy to set up different threads for each relationship, but at least in my mind, I view each scene with a LI as existing in one of those separate realities. In one reality, he is completely besotted with Carol, in another it's Ashley and so on and so on and so on.
Otherwise, apart from having to scrub myself with abrasive soap after playing, I'd have to assume that the MC suffers from some kind of severe dissociative disorder, because his inner dialogue never questions how his passionate adoration for whichever woman he happens to be with is a bit contradictory.
Still, what I call a psychopath with a severe dissociative disorder, others might call an alpha-male! Potato-potahto?
