To be honest I'm not sure why it was released.
It was released to get some content out there. Sure, it's a bit of a setup without resolution, but it also starts in motion multiple plot points that I feel are enough to give people an interesting look at things to come.
Shannon best girl and angel acts cute when alone but im just worried angel gonna turn out to be a camgirl or something
That's a common guess. But no, she's not a camgirl.
All girls in this game seem pretty flawed
Thanks! That's what I'm going for.
I said he fucked up and needs to own up to it.
I don't
need to do anything, especially for someone who is not a patron. I want everyone, patron or not, to enjoy the game. And if people are not enjoying it I'd love to know why. But if you're demanding shit from me, whether you're a patron or not, you're quickly going to the ignore list.
I am myself of the opinion that the dev's approach to this game's development has a lot of room for improvement. I humbly believe that he's not exploiting this game's potential or attracting the support it could get it he planned it differently. Sometimes I even think he's not taking himself seriously, I don't know.
I appreciate your kind words.
"My approach to development has a lot of room for improvement" - that's fair.
"I'm not exploiting the game's potential or attracting support" - I understand that the "business" side of these VNs is something people like to look into and talk about, but I really wish people could enjoy the game without looking to see if my Patreon is going up or down or whatever. I love getting people's support, whether it's a kind word or financial. But it doesn't really impact the development of Unleashed. I started out as a VN player and I got an idea for a game I wanted to play. And I'm going to make that game regardless of the support I get.
As for not taking myself seriously, I'm not sure what you mean. I definitely don't take myself seriously. I'm some dude making a porn VN that features a possibly sociopathic redhead. And I'm having a blast doing it, as should be evident in the humor in the game.
But I certainly take the development of the game seriously. Yesterday I began working on the final touches of this update (there are a billion little things to do before putting out an update) at 6 am. I worked until around 1am. So it was about a 19 hour day for me.
This is my first VN. I'm making some mistakes, no doubt. But I'm also creating what I consider to be a fun, innovative, and original VN that is unlike anything else on this site. Double-edged sword, I guess.
