It was released to get some content out there. Sure, it's a bit of a setup without resolution, but it also starts in motion multiple plot points that I feel are enough to give people an interesting look at things to come.

I don't need to do anything, especially for someone who is not a patron. I want everyone, patron or not, to enjoy the game. And if people are not enjoying it I'd love to know why. But if you're demanding shit from me, whether you're a patron or not, you're quickly going to the ignore list.

"I'm not exploiting the game's potential or attracting support" - I understand that the "business" side of these VNs is something people like to look into and talk about, but I really wish people could enjoy the game without looking to see if my Patreon is going up or down or whatever. I love getting people's support, whether it's a kind word or financial. But it doesn't really impact the development of Unleashed. I started out as a VN player and I got an idea for a game I wanted to play. And I'm going to make that game regardless of the support I get.
As for not taking myself seriously, I'm not sure what you mean. I definitely don't take myself seriously. I'm some dude making a porn VN that features a possibly sociopathic redhead. And I'm having a blast doing it, as should be evident in the humor in the game.
But I certainly take the development of the game seriously. Yesterday I began working on the final touches of this update (there are a billion little things to do before putting out an update) at 6 am. I worked until around 1am. So it was about a 19 hour day for me.
This is my first VN. I'm making some mistakes, no doubt. But I'm also creating what I consider to be a fun, innovative, and original VN that is unlike anything else on this site. Double-edged sword, I guess.

I finally found this game again. I haven't played since v0.3 and i couldn't for the life of me remember the name. This is what happens, sadly, when you play too many H-games. It gets hard to remember exactly which one's you're looking for.
Anyway, looking at my saves it seems like i was an Angel lover. It also seems i never posted in here yet so I'll post my favorites now after playing fresh. I'm leaning more towards Maeve this time around instead of Angel. They're all pretty much equal overall(Shannon is a bit as annoying as i remembered though) but Maeve is my favorite.
Story wise I'd say it's good for what's currently in game. Not much to go off of or should i say i don't have a full opinion of it as of this update but it has my attention and I'm looking forward to more of it in the near future.

Excited to see what comes next. This game is overflowing with potential and I can't wait till the game starts digging into the mystery element of the game more. I'm almost against adding anymore girls to the game because the ones we already have are so good lol. Shannon will always be best girl!!

By not taking yourself too seriously I just meant not considering yourself a full-fledged developer. Perhaps not realizing the huge game's potential. That is, being too humble or conservative in your goals and expectations if that makes sense.
This is my personal opinion, but I think you should aim higher because I think you can. The story and the humour are unique and top-notch, and at this point you've probably noticed you've created a particular character that lots of people love, while all the others are very likeable too and also have their own fans.
Use that to your advantage. Try to provide more regular updates; according to your own words you're either too much of a perfectionist or too unsure about your own work because apparently you keep doing and redoing stuff all the time. At some point you should cut that out and move on. I'm sure the game's quality would always be more than good and believe me if I say players would rather have more progress in the story than extreme perfection. Especially when they are all aware of the means that particular dev has at his disposal.
Also, try to promote your game more even if it's something that puts you off. Your having a blast developing a game at home doesn't exclude the possibility of attracting more economic support that in turn could help you speed up the game's creation or widen its scope.
What's the worst thing that could happen? You'll have more potential whiners, demanders, critics of your work? So what, if that's ever the case keep doing what you're doing now, keep not giving a fuck and focusing on doing your thing. I've always liked your polite sarcasm when dealing with certain criticism in this thread.
Anyway, I'm grateful you didn't take my comment the wrong way. The artist's soul is always mirrored in his work and I'd rather not see Shannon sad
Decided to give my review on this. 5 stars should cover it. Although, since the dev actually has a spine, I would've given this 6 stars. But, I can't. Fucking rating system.
Game is well written. Not really a fan of all the girls in this. Angel and Maeve are the best. My opinion.
Renders are great. Game is a little slow, but, well worth playing.

What the hell, its early days and it lacks some polish, but I found it entertaining and the story line is amusing, a bit of different slant. I LIKED IT.

Personally, I'm not big fan of her. Sure... she has "personality", like many keep touting on. But, it isn't particularly attractive, when it all seemingly manifests with her being a nuisance and little else. Guess, I just don't have that kind of sense of humor
All girls in this game seem pretty flawed, but hey - at least the game kinda warns about it immediately. So, fair enough, I guess. Too bad MC is - again some beta plank, that barely says two words and just seemingly takes it all without complaint. Wish there had been a warning for that too early on.
I am surprised that no one mentions Olivia. She is pretty, has an excellent body and is rather normal. I like her quite a bit.
I do like the other girls as well. I have more empathy for Angel after visiting her mother's house and seeing how Angel is treated by her mother. But I am still looking forward to going back to see Shirleen for bible study
, I really thought she was pretty damn hot.And I like Maeve as well. I think she is lonely and needs someone in her life but she has a hard time connecting with people and I hope that I will be able to get to know her more.
