Well after having passed the demo / prologue of this remake, I really have to say that it left me a really sad feeling or rather a truly depressing feeling, completely different from the feeling it left you when playing the original game. The only good and interesting thing is that it is seen that there is a great improvement in terms of quality in renders and animations by the developer, but in relation to the new story there are not many positive points to highlight at least for me.

The worst thing for me is the decision that our protagonist seems to be making at the end of the prologue, since the only way he has to go out or solve his problems is to get someone's help to see if he can get a woman. influential and with enough money (aka Elnea, Principal, etc), which is really pathetic and sad.

Maybe he got inspired by SummerTimeSaga... but that MC was failing his school year because he had to deal with his father's funeral and in general the loss of his dad (that's why he skipped like a semester and the school was okay with it, still put down his grades)...and it's stated he was/is a decent student, not the brightest but one of the favourite students (because he is a nice respectful guy), enough to have a deal with all the teachers, in exchange for a few favours he would get higher grades or in the case of Bisette, the French teacher, a chance to earn that those good grades(plus sex on the side XD) with the Science teacher he simply had to help her with a few projects she had in mind, and so on. In SummertimeSaga the situation was bad but salvageable

here we seem to deal with one giant mess with extremely little hope. Which is why i'm asking to know some of MC's positive traits

Do not listen to haters, just do your job, it will pay off, in my opinion the demo is much better than the original story and I am waiting for the sequels, just remember that the pubic hair trimmed is the best, because in the original story Elena was once trimmed and then shaved (so dont shave her too much ;p), and making her more obedient is also an interesting idea ;D

the dev released a demo of a new version...which is basically the part 1 of the new prologue

no content worth mentioning of any kind...aside the demo itself(which isn't much in my opinion)

I havent fully checked it out but i heard he changed story details like his dad is dead now im reading on the thread i hope nothing to mutch is changed in any case.

he changed a lot of things...i'm critical about it(enough that if people will call me hater, i would agree with them)

now MC has tons of issues:
- He is physically weak, he is 19, tall like a 12 years old kid.
- He broke both his wrists and now suffers from tremors(which get worse when he is anxious)
- apparently the young bimbo nuns did some bad thing that caused him some School Refusal Syndrome, so he skipped school enough to become the worst student ever
- He has such a low self-esteem that basically he has almost constant anxiety when dealing with girls/women
- Elena the teacher is corrupted by money, insult him a lot...still admired and loved by MC(somehow), he voted against MC for giving him a recommendation to college(he wouldn't get it anyway, because decent reasons like skipping school a lot)
- New Character: The Principal of the school(which also is the Mayor of the city)...also corrupted/She liked money and is easily bribable
- New Character: Zachary, the school bully, who also bribed his way to college recommendation, also his family own like 90% of the town either legally or thanks to bribes
- His own mother while still love him, has: addiction to alcohol, gambling, and smoking, her mother and sister are awful and slapped MC once for shouting "fuck college, i'm going to find a job" , and because of MC's mother's addictions, the both of them are in huge debt(like barely capable to have three decent meals a day)
- Needless to say, MC skipped school a lot because of his anxieties...meaning that will never go to college(but his mom doesn't know...YET)
- We didn't see yet: The bimbo Nuns, the Nanny, the pornstar, and the chubby childhood friend
- MC couldn't stand for himself without being either insulted or mocked by the people who actually insist on saying that they have MC's best interests at heart(Elena the sexy teacher who wanted to be a writer, and the new principal)
- MC's self-esteem is so low that he believes that his only way to solve every problem he has, is to marry a rich old woman(like Elena or the new principal, or a few other MILFs mentioned in the prologue but that i don't remember the names) but he is not smart, and the dev didn't show us any of MC's good traits.

so yeah, the situation looks very dark...but there will not be any NTR at all(the dev told us)

I mainly play for the mother so mom and son incest but was the debt thing not already in the game i just never knew what the reason was or the problems she doesnt look like a drunk or smoker anymore or a gambler but wow.

Idk man my biggest problem with all of this is the fact we lost all the progress so mutch time spend making updates trown out of the window these games already take way way to long to make.

that's why i'm bothering everyone so much, we didn't see even ONE of MC's qualities, as far as i know, MC is also bloody stupid(i mean, going cheap on the PSU for a high-level PC? That's an error that only a brain-dead moron would do, it's the first thing i learned about upgrading PCs)

That's a common mistake a lot of writers do. They want to create a "zero to hero" type of story, but they go overboard and instead of starting from 0, they start from -100...

That’s probably true, about the story develop into a harem. But honestly, I don’t imagine how, even if this loser protagonist with so much against him, save the lives of every woman in town, there’s no way in hell for any of them to find him attractive, even less sexually attractive as to form any kind of harem.

Let’s be serious here, this new weak protagonist is no prize for women, it’s a liability.

the principal wants him to work for her social media's account...and pay him for manage it because she is busy being both the Principal (of the only school in town) and being the Mayor

My game has a weak plot, it's not a secret. This problem needs to be fixed, and I did it. I have fully rewritten the story. Don't worry, there are not going to be any radical changes, only improvements. I learned harsh lessons from the Christmas Special, so I won't be making the same mistakes once again. I have thought twice before making any changes to the plot. I really don't want to spoiler for you what the new story is about, but here are some details...

Your biggest flaw is that you only make the wrong decisions. Again, you created a Christmas episode that nobody asked for. You made the game from scratch and once again nobody asked for it. You had plans to make a summer episode, and that no one asked for it again. Things seem to be so simple and you always try to complicate them. If you don't think you are able to deliver what people expect, then say so. I don't want to defend a game where the creator himself doesn't believe in what he created.

My interpretation of this quote was that it was an ultimatum. It sounds like "you keep doing the wrong thing constantly all the time and everyone hates you for it except me" combined with prior messages of general dislike for character changes. Granted this might just be a translation problem(Intent vs impact), but listing a bunch of negative things then ending with a "I want to support you" is such tonal whiplash. But whatever. The perfect character criticism was how I personally interpreted the complaints on how the protagonist has changed. We can't really know the characterization of the characters from just the demo is the greater point I was trying to make. Perfect protag to start=orgy the whole way through, character growth=paced out scenes. Might not have explained myself too well.
I'm not going to sit here and tell a bunch of people getting free shit that they have to like every game they play for free. It's fair to dislike a game, its time and a (sometimes) long download you can't get back. But they way this thread has treated the developer these last updates, which have been an increase in quality, is going to eventually end up in a burned out developer and an abandoned game. Its happened to many h game devs here. And you could argue that the developer should get thicker skin or whatever, but at the end of the day its on the mob.

Have you ever been a fan of someone? Probably not. When you are a fan you blindly defend what you admire or who you admire. What I was trying to say is: As a fan, I'm more likely to accept mistakes made by Waifston compared to someone who doesn't follow him. He is not delivering what people want and unlike me they will not think twice about criticizing him. I didn't make an ultimatum to anyone, maybe I just didn't use the right words.

I for one like this game got a clear direction of the story now but sadly like most I dislike the status of the MC for now.

I hope the dev wouldn't be affected as much with the critics and be swayed with what they want the story to be written etc. Just get some valid inputs and progress from there you can't please everybody.

Still looking forward for this a little tweak or maybe progress for the MC it can be great again and hoping the updates would be as fast as before so the story flow would be ideal.

I also think the overall improvement is huge so more encouragement to the dev you are on the right path just need to take whatever you think are valid inputs here and go from there.
