I found Un.rpyc v2.0.2 and copied it into the Neko Paparise game folder as instructed.
This resulted in the following error message. And decompiling did nothing.

Should work with unren, but if not, give a try to GAME RIPPER. The only difference is, that RPA has some magic numbers in the first line, and RPA 3.0 uses all to calculate the encryption key, while RPA 3.2 does not use the second number for that. Furthermore, RPA 2.0 uses different pickle opcodes in the index, but otherwise there's no difference in the format between versions, so should work.

Please find the smallest rpa file(if there is more as one), open it in a simple text editor and cite here the content of the first line. e.g. RPA-3.0 00000000185fb467 42424242

Ah no. You did NOT AS INSTRUCTED in the unrpyc github repo!
Explanation:

• unrpyc v2.x is for RenPy v8+ games(A lot has changed so its different).
• Your app is a RenPy v7.x app, which needs unrpyc v1.3.x to decompile correctly.

So you just need to use the other and it should work. Good luck

I just made a quick test with chapter 8, and the game crashes on startup when unren has put its files in the game dir.

Ah, thank you for the hint! In the "Installation" instruction in Ergi OP there's only written "Extract and run" so I was just playing Chapter 8 as a standalone game, and it was functioning (but without audio).



That paragraph shoud be corrected.

How am I supposed to combine the chapters together?

I guess by incremental merging:
Merge Chapter 2 into Chapter 1 overwriting existing files
Merge Chapter 3 into Chapter 1+2 overwriting existing files
...

Am I correct?

Yes that's correct! I also assumed it was just extract and run, but when I was poking around the files, I saw how previous chapters were missing files.

Ok, downloading... It's going to take a long time because I have a shitty Internet connection.
So I won't be able to test my idea until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, you could drop the three files (one, unren-console.rpy, is the one you can create by UnRen-forallv9.4.bat) contained in the attached zip in your "game" folder and let me know if it works.

--- EDIT: I downloaded all the chapters and merged them together, then I tried my jailbreak and it seems to work. I didn't test it in all the game. Just at the beginning, but it should work since all I've done is commenting-out the lines that clear key bindings.

That's just stupid, it's the first game I have seen do it that way. But it's nice to have a community that can solve a problem like that

Two things: First, what game are you trying to use unren on? Because this only works with ren'py games.

You do get that problem if you try to run UnRen-1.0.11d.bat with admin rights on Windows.

MY bad sorry, I was using this with Mac before all I had to do was open Unren and drop the game in there and it would work but this is the error I am getting on windows when I open Unren

For the windows version, you need to put the .bat file in the games main folder and then run it.

"People" who do this without good reason(99,9%), should every single time get a unforgettable amount of electric current between their legs.

Admin rights are for administrating the system and nothing else! Not running common apps.
