There is a mistaken idea that if you play as a female protagonist it makes you a woman when in reality from my point of view they are the stories where you have the most control since you can choose which character the protagonist will have relationships with.
while the male protagonists are often more of an obstacle for other characters and he only wants everything for himself and limits you a lot.
And then it is quite meaningless to complain when the amount of games with male protagonists is excessive.
