Okay, I played quite a bit of it and it's definitely one of the best Ren'Py games I've played. It's up there with the modded LabRats 2 for me.
I prefer 2DCG and even real porn to 3DCG, but this game is so good that I'm fine with the renders. The fact that they are so numerous and varied helps a lot too.
It's very well written, has tons of replayability, functions as an actual strategy game but has a VN mode if you find the gameplay too boring or challenging.
The main character is very enjoyable to play as. He's not stupid nor cowardly. He knows what he wants and is determined to get it.
Literally the only complaint I have is the John Carter problem of coming up with gobbledygook fantasy names instead of using more generic established words like, for example, "Sire" instead of the aforementioned "Saar."
But otherwise I'm hooked on the setting with its interesting cultures, like the Orcs' relationship to non-orcs, or the whole situation in basically-fantasy-China, or the Wakabian cult. The different countries have distinct cultures, races, religions and it's actually fun to learn more about them.
A nearly perfect Conan simulator, even as an in-progress 0.12 version. Can't wait to play more and fully conquer the Twin Sisters.

Tomorrow I'll finish writing the Pirate Clans quest and Manwad, the Kraken's Bride story line was finished in August. What remains are some (important) interlude/metastory scenes and a whole lot of testing.

I like how the vikings' Father Whale myth is written. It reads just like one of those pagan founding myths. And it's just an optional dialogue branch during a sex scene, lmao.

Honestly sums it up pretty well. The main hill to climb for lewd games with narrative is making the narrative appealing enough that players will pay attention. It's a great strength to have.
