This follows up on my message and the developer's response:
Okay, yes, this problem will be fixed, that's good. I've noticed that the enemy's numbers drop significantly after a defeat, but do they rebuild faster than my army?

ngl this is one of those things you should just make a save and experience + I doubt its even fast enough compared to the player army

These lines caught my eyes. Could the problems you ran into relate to using the rollback feature? Were you using rollback when they happened?

im still disappointed that the the content with Yuki's daughter Maya was never added and that we couldn't take Liddy with us when saving maya or at least come back for her and bring her with us, we also dont get to fuck Shani. smh

I can't stress this enough: My focus in the coming (and recent) weeks is how to make the current game better. When I do think of VV-K2, it is mostly story ideas and charatcer development. Despite the seemingly detailed manifest I wrote above, I have not decided on whether to go with Unreal for many reasons, the biggest being: I'm comfortable using Renpy. I can debug its problems and fix them. Switching to Unreal will make me a stranger in my own home and force me to rely on others.
Just from a playerside view, I tend to stick with Renpy games. Most games made in other engines can just be made in Renpy and run faster and lighter. If it needs to make the jump to another engine then it needs it, but most games don't tbh

I am fighting Oryeonguk in a 30v40. I have 'doubled troop strength' through the infiltration. I cannot beat them in 'mk2' system or the 'mk1' system. HOW?
Also, a lot of the time when my troops attack in the Mk2 system, no damage is dealt. It makes it difficult to strategize when my troops keep missing 75% of the time, even if they one-shot on a hit.
The Mk2 combat system absolutely needs to be reviewed; I just lost a 3 vs. 2 battle because my soldiers missed their attacks while the enemy didn't (attack on Marbia, 50 vs. 40).
I'll miss fewer attacks in XCOM lol
Spent a few hours looking into this.

1. Both friendly and enemy troops use the same hitting logic with the same stats, i.e. your troops should not miss more than the enemy's. No problem here.
2. However, I realized that for some reason the Defense stat of friendly troops was roughly 20% lower than enemy troops. Not sure why. Increased and then went on a new world conquest tour and won all combats except one, so from my perspective this problem is solved for 0.16.2 which will be deployed in a day or two.

The real problem of the world conquest game is that once you have 3-4 fiefdoms you are nigh unstoppable and the challenge drops dramatically. After 0.16 is out, I'll need to make mid-game more interesting.

1. There's no reason you'll lose to Oryenguk if you attack in MK1 30 Troops in double strength. Please send me a Save so I can look into it.
2. I think the MK2 needs some tweaking, but you should win if attacking at double strength. I'd appreciate a Save for this as well.





Time for my State of the Union speech.

1. Two fiefdoms currently have no animations: Hawatia (quest + Wench) and Limtinia (Wench(es) only). I want to spend a few more weeks to close this "artistic gap" and then start working on VV-K2.

2. There are also few non "artistic" features I wanted to implement to improve the metagame, but... I lost my developer.

Again.

For those not familiar with this tragic affair, Gojira667 was my partner from 2021 to July 2025, when he disappeared completely. In September I started working with another developer who, I now have a reason to believe, recently (or perhaps not recently, depends on your view of the honesty of people) decided to leave the project without informing me anything. It is my understand that he is, in fact, active elsewhere but does not respond in email or Discord. Kids nowadays call this behavior ghosting, if I am not mistaken. So I'm looking for a good Python developer who wants to partner with me, and I have some candidates in the pipe.

If I don't find a satisfactory developer, I'll start working on VV-K2 and once I find developer, I'll close the gaps of the first game.

3. And now for something… interesting. A few weeks ago I was approached by an Unreal expert who suggested we partner up and make the next game in Unreal.

Since I don’t want to waste time on it, I gave him a challenge: make the opening of Vae Victis - Khan in Unreal and if it’s cool, I’ll consider your suggestion. I provide him about 20-30 minutes of guidance per day, but other than that he is on his own. I’ll give you a link for an interim demo which is ugly as hell, just so you’ll get a taste of what I’m talking about.

Remember it is:

  1. Ugly
  2. It is ugly because it is a temporary version, work in progress
  3. It is not finished
  4. Even it the final result is beautiful as we can make it, I may still stay with Renpy

To summarize: a few more weeks for closing artistic gaps in the current game and then to the next game, which may be in either Ren'py or Unreal.

It's not bad; the graphics are obviously rough, but I see potential.

My thoughts: I agree there aren't enough "real" porn games as opposed to VNs and that VV-K's setting lends itself well to the Unreal medium. But with that said, I still vastly prefer VNs overall. My understanding is they don't require as many resources to develop/QC as 3D games, and if I'm playing one-handed then 3D real-time doesn't really work well for that purpose. Plus, using Unreal for animations as opposed to pre-rendering is just ugly business.

also what happened to the centaur woman after you take her with you? I never see her at base again.

It would be nice if something like *missed* showed up instead of nothing when a troop missed. Took a bit to realize that it wasn't just a visual/gameplay bug.

I was lied to, VN mode still requires sandbox navigation and it's a mess at the beginning.
It's really not a big deal, basically just click the nodes that pop up lol. There's only a very small handful of points throughout the game that requires any sort of effort while in VN mode, and even then its not much.

I don't know if this issue is related but I noticed that sometimes during animations combat or sex the game will start lagging incredible amounts to the point where the window of the game is in unusable.

If I am lucky and able to restart the before the lag affected my operation system I can continue as normal until is happens again.

I think this issue happed when I rollback accidently during combat or sex animations and could be related perhaps.

The lag actually got so bad twice that it forced me to restart my computer as the issue seemed to affected my operating systems explorer.exe slowing it down to point of it being unusable I did restart my explorer.exe but it still lagged however, other applications like chrome where unaffected and I checked my resource usages in task manager and there was nothing high either.

Sounds similar, I have just been in a sense getting round it by saving often and restarting the game to ensure the issue does not happen I am also a lot more cautious and using rollback now. Keeping it limited to static conversations and if I do try during an animation hitting a save so I can alt-f4 the game incase it bugs again. After observing the issue it seems to happen with agressive rolling back and forth near animations and as well as near animation that have a choice just after. I might try to replicate it in combat although with combat I can be playing for hours and it just lags out of no where so a tricky issue for sure.

That's not much to work with though.

You would think that if it affects his operating system, the CPU usage is high or he has no ram left or maybe like a fork bomb where a a lot of processes have been started.

I dont see how it could iaffect the operating system otherwise. Something should turn up on the resource monitor.

Ok, i remembered this game had no sounds during sex scenes and I was pleasantly surprised playing it after so long. With this upgrade it goes from ok game to great game. Congrats to the developer, nice job.
