Yeah I can add that to the backlog, that's important info during this development process but it shouldn't be difficult to add a hotkey to toggle it. Btw those numbers of yours are pretty respectable, unless maybe you have parallax background turned off...?

Oh, no, that was taken right after starting the game just to use as an example. I was just idling in the starting area. I definitely overexaggerated but once actual enemies come on screen and the action starts, the numbers get much worse. It generally stays above 30 fps tho so I'm happy.

I give up.

I've sat here and tried to get past the fast zombies room for about an hour and it's just impossible. The zombies move so fast that you have to have a full screen between you and them, or they reach you too fast and swarm you. But, you can't stand in one spot or they spawn inside your asshole. But, if you move, they then spawn even faster and on both sides of you and you run directly into them.

You can't move while you reload, so if you run out of ammo at the wrong time, you're stuck standing there like an idiot while you're swarmed and you're fucked. Once that happens, and you have even just one of them right on top of you, you can't hit them. Like, at all. No matter what you do. You're dead as soon as one zombie touches you. You can't run away from it, because there's 12 more no matter where you run to and they just keep piling onto you. But even if there weren't a dozen more waiting for you no matter where you run, you can't out run them anyways. Once one's on you, it's physically impossible to create enough distance between you and that zombie to move, turn, aim, then fire. But on the off chance you do manage to get a shot off, 9/10 times, the game just eats your input to turn around and you fire in the wrong direction and get hit again anyways.

For an hour I've sat here bashing my head against the brick wall that is this room over and over and over and over and over and over and over again until my fingers hurt from trying to desperately turn and shoot the zombies running me down at 120mph.

I've tried standing in one spot, I've tried sliding and moving, I've tried running back and forth, it's literally impossible unless you sit there and replay this infuriating-ass level over and over and over until you have spawn patterns memorized, frame perfect timing, frame perfect inputs, and have all that down consistent enough to kill FIFTY ENEMIES WITHOUT A SINGLE MISTAKE, because again, the second a single zombie hits you, it's over. They're stuck on you like stink on shit and you can't get them off so they just keep smacking you until you're dead. It's like someone read the dialogue I had with the dev about the previous level and decided to take every issue I had and dial it up to 11 just to spite me. People play games like this to jerk off, not test their epic gamer-man skills. We already have a game series for that. It's called Dark Souls.

I have never been so unfathomably frustrated by a porn game before.

I give up.

yeah this level needs More than one hand, or two, or three, or fifteen hehe, but relax, if u liked to fight with 50 zombies you will ¡¡LOVE TO FIGHT WITH 100 AFTER!! AND THEN ANOTHER 150 AFTER THAT!!!!! you MUST play with both hands and don't expect to relax to much stay almost at the end of the map and don't move to much and don't worry to much about the ammo, It spawns solo, aaaaand a trick, if you press the "H" key you'll fall and get exposed to fuck that gonna give you some invincibility, take advantage of that to kick some of they, Im now at the level where I have to fucking run the crap out of me like theres no tomorrow, but yeah its pretty hard xd

Yeah, hard pass. I'm just done. I shouldn't have to cheese invincibility frames to beat levels in a porn game. I will simply play Bioasshard, Yuna, and Too Much Light instead.

There is enough time to get hit, turn and then shoot one of them. One of them. But by the time you've done that 3 more are on you. Plus it seems their attacks have a greater range than your kicks. So you can't use that whilst trying to reload.

I quite enjoyed the new update. Loved the spike+zombie animations.
While, I seemed to struggle less that others with the fast zombies, I will agree that the difficulty is needlessly high and full of trial and error. both the first and last level had some "oh ok" moments, such as having to remember that there's a cooldown between dodges, making those spike traps just that little bit slower to traverse.
but more annoyingly, the final spiketrap in the final room, is a clear example of what this game needs. it needs some visual clarity. what's the difference between fast and normal zombies? What about slow zombie with low health? what's the difference between trap spikes, auto spikes and chain-reaction spikes? since they all use the exact same sprites, it's hard to tell the difference, especially while running away from a bunch of zombies.

Also, for the wishlist, I'd love to see more galleries, both for animations, and for the background soldiers.

Get hit, turn, shoot, get hit by one of 3 more zombies actively crawling inside your asshole, try to reload, get hit, hit cancels the reload, can't shoot cuz no ammo, kick but zombie is directly on top of you so you can't hit it, get hit again, try to run away, Sonic zombies run faster than you and now there's 6 more on you, try to reload, get hit and die. Repeat until fingers bleed.

It's the worst kind of frustrating. I'm fine with dieing because I fucked up. I died a good handful of times in the one-health spike sections, but it was always because I made a mistake. This is different. I'm dieing here because every porn game developer makes the exact same weird decision to take things to the absolute extreme. Why does facing a hoard of 150 enemies in a porn game make any sense at all? Why does a porn game need to provide a really hard challenge, a metaphorical mountain to climb? Has anyone ever felt a sense of triumph and satisfaction from beating a porn game?

"Hell yeah! I did it! I beat the level and EARNED the right to jerk off before bed tonight!"

Has anyone ever gone to work the next day and bragged about beating a really hard porn game?

"Hey, Bill, guess what? I totally beat Horny Hentai Hero last night!"
"What?! No way! I've been stuck on level seven for like four days!"
"Yeah, man, I totally kicked the final boss's ass last night then jerked off all over my keyboard!"

I play Val Karee and other porn games because I want to unwind after a long, stressful, annoying day at work. I want to turn my brain off, play some simple gameplay, and beat my dick before I go to bed and do it all over again in 8 hours. If dev wants this game to be a really tough challenge for only the most skilled of players, that's fine, but you have to market it that way. Reading the first post of this thread where dev describes the game, it comes off as very laid back.

Lines like "She's tough. She's buff. And she's heading into the haunted forest to show them who's boss" and "Or just go ahead and get killed if you prefer -- that's kinda fun, too" tell me that this is a game that shouldn't take itself all that seriously. A porn parody type game. But then I get into the game, and I'm going up against odds that are extremely tilted against me, fighting a seemingly unending hoard of enemies for my very survival like I'm Noble 6 at the end of Halo Reach making my last stand to defend a planet against an invincible foe as the armies of enemies close in all around me. It's a fuckin porn game, man.

Looks like the developer hired an artist. I liked the game art before but it's even better now. Loving all the dead chicks lying around but will there be enemies other than zombies or different zombie versions?

Just to make sure you know, you can press 'b' to toggle parallax backgrounds during the game. I need to set it to 'off' on my old Windows 7 machine to get any decent performance.

Dude we gotta get you to be a beta tester so we can address these issues before the release. Your posts crack me up but I hate knowing you're so frustrated.

We'll talk difficulty but first, what do you mean by "the game just eats your input"? You mentioned that before but I may not have understood it, and I want to make sure there's not a bug with the controls.

I started the week planning to just convert Val's gameplay anims (clothed and naked). But the problem is they made everything else look like crap in comparison, so I doubled-down and converted nearly everything else, including:

Haven't played the game, I'm not keen on gore content at all. I was just reading a few comments before moving on... and that discussion about visual clarity caught my attention.

If there are 3 different types of spikes that behave differently (thus require different reactions and inputs from players) yet look exactly the same, that's a MASSIVE design error! Take a goomba in Mario. You jump on it, you stomp it. Then comes another one... but instead of stomping it, it chomps at Mario's feet and you die. Or it makes you jump super high against spikes on the ceiling and you die. Yet both look the same. It's completely unfair and nonsensical, so I hope that's not the case.

If it is and you really don't want to create new animations for those spikes, add a visual indicator. Nothing for the regular ones. Some mist for one type. Auto-spikes could be twitchy even when not close (and maybe even more when getting closer).

A similar approach could be used for the zombinos. That way, no need to create brand new animations and it's still much clearer what's what. For my goomba example, if the goombas making you jump incorporated the first few "bouncing" frames to make them look twitchy, I'd know at a glance not to jump on them. For the chompy ones, if they had a bloody mist, I'd know they thirst for blood. It's definitely not the best but it's cheap and works well enough to not need new animations.
