Changes to Story Content

We want to be transparent regarding recent developments around the Valenza Family project.

Due to increasing restrictions and pressure from platforms and payment processors such as Visa, Mastercard, Steam, and Itch, we are being forced to make changes to the story. Specifically, the incest-related aspects will be removed.

This was not my original intention, and I strongly dislike having to rewrite key elements that were central to the original vision. Unfortunately, the reality is that this type of content now risks projects being deindexed, blocked, or outright banned from major storefronts — which is not a risk I can take.

While this decision throws a wrench into my plans, I will do my best to keep the narrative gripping and dramatic, even if some elements must change. The heart of the Valenza Family story — the tension, power struggles, and emotional depth — will remain.

I hope you understand this difficult choice, but our hands are tied on this matter.

Well this will give the "mod" writers something to do *sigh*.
I think everyone is going to have to get used to that.
Incest is #3 on the list of items that can cause immediate termination of payout (with no notification).
If you have not noticed, the world in general is now controlled by credit providers.
Game developers are just at the forefront of this mess.
I can tell you without a doubt, Arcane was NOT happy about any of this, but the alternative is to be banned... everywhere.
While on F95, you can get games for free, almost no developers can make games with no income.

I hope you won’t give up on the incest theme.
Even though the little sister only appears in a few scenes,
that sense of giving everything already goes beyond ordinary family bonds.
The story itself is excellent.
Whatever the author chooses to keep or abandon,
just do what you feel is right.
Keep going.

Well if its done correctly, hopefully there can be minimum changes, instead of sister, have the sister a step sister and just skirt around it enough so modders can patch it in for those who want that content. Its been done countless times before, I wont maybe be 100% but im sure it will be close to the original idea and still work.

My feeling was, even though we hardly saw much of the MMC's sister, she plays a major role and her relationship with him is key to the plot, don't change too much, just enough to get by technically, just enough to comply with their policy, its then up to modders to just drop in a few changes to script.

Relatively easy fix. Change it just a little bit. Her "real father" was the Mc's father's right hand man and best friend and he died so Mc's father took her in and raised her. Then it's just a couple of lines, references that can be easy to remove by a patch or change. Lines like, "We grew up together, you're like a sister to me." Is easy to change to, "We grew up together, you're my sister." One or two lines like that and the rest can be calling each other bro and sis and you already have the line earlier on about how they "aren't really that." Dialog is the easiest thing to change and mod in a game, so as long it is all dialog that gets changed to remove the incest then it is a simple fix to add it back in.

Hey everyone,

We need to talk about some changes happening with Valenza Family's development and distribution moving forward.

The Reality of the Situation

If you've been following the AVN space lately, you know things have gotten rough. Visa and Mastercard's crackdown on adult content has been hitting developers hard—whether it's outright marketplace bans, Steam pulling games without warning, or Early Access rejections for anything with adult themes. It's been a mess across the board.

We've done everything we can on our end. We've rewritten parts of the story, made adjustments, and adapted where necessary. But the bottom line is this: running Early Access on Steam is no longer viable for us.

What's Changing

Going forward, Valenza Family development will move exclusively to Patreon for Early Access. No more chapter sales on other platforms during production. All new content, updates, and Early Access will be released through Patreon tiers.

Here's the important part: Nothing changes in terms of our ultimate plans or releases. Valenza Family's end goal is still Steam, and the game will be sold on Steam in Seasons and Episodes once they're complete.

If you're fine waiting until entire seasons or episodes are wrapped and polished, you'll be able to grab them on Steam when they drop. But if you want Early Access during production—getting chapters as they're finished, behind-the-scenes updates, and direct involvement in the development—Patreon is where you need to be.

This gives us a stable way to continue production without constantly worrying about the next ban hammer or arbitrary policy change, while still delivering the full experience to Steam when the time is right.

Another one for the books, Famiglia. While Chapter III: Part I moves full speed ahead — another track has just joined The Concierge of Crime album. A new sound. A new mood. Same Valenza fire.

“Nocté” the latest OST from Valenza Family is now live. A beat born for the club. Sleek, modern, and dangerously smooth.

While Michael is fond of good old rock, jazz, blues, and pop, he does like jumping from time to time... or at least — he makes sure the people at his nightclub do!

We’ve jumped right back into the world of Valenza Family, replayed the whole thing ourselves (because apparently we forgot how much chaos we wrote), and took plenty of notes along the way.
Some rewriting happened… mostly because, you know, gambling and war sponsoring are fine, but heaven forbid fictional relations, right?

Anyway — progress is solid so far. There were a few small delays as we revisited Chapter I to sneak in some slight animations for Rose’s scene.

Chapter III itself is shaping up nicely. A lot of our focus has been on subtle but meaningful animations — small gestures that add life to the world: a character tilting his head, taking off his hat, lighting a cigar… simple things, but they make all the difference.

Alongside the rewrite, we’ve also expanded on several story threads — adding more intensity, intrigue, and the kind of drama that defines the Valenza Family.

That’s all for now, just a quick hello and a little peek at what’s cooking in the background before the month comes to an end!

Busy, busy, busy.

At this point, we’re running energy drinks through our veins instead of blood — but it’s been worth it.

Chapter III: Part I now stands tall at over 400 renders and 15+ cinematics, pushing Valenza Family’s world of smoke, silk, and bullets further than ever before. We’ve been experimenting with new lighting and art styles, cinematics, and you’ll definitely notice the difference. We hope in a positive way.

The cinematic work alone? Let’s just say After Effects in combination with other things, and our GPUs have seen things. Sparks fly, literally — but hey, nothing’s caught fire. Yet.

Story-wise, this chapter has weight.
We don’t measure progress by render count, we measure it by impact, and this one should hit the mark. Faster pacing, tighter storytelling, and zero downtime. There’s always something happening. Because, as you know, there’s no rest for the wicked.

One of the team members is currently on the floor (don’t worry, he’ll respawn soon), but production continues full throttle. We’re making up for lost time, pushing for polish, and keeping this update locked on schedule.

We’re now deep in the final phases, a few animations left, a handful of renders, and the finishing touches on the post-processing side. It’s a tense update, yes… but let’s just say it ends on a “happy” note — if you know, you know.

On a more serious note, our early Patreon supporters, few, but mighty, agreed with us:
Chapter III: Part I deserves to be shared with everyone, not buried under delays and gifted public rollouts. So, this one’s for everyone. A small token from the team, who's been hard at it. And we hope Chapter III: Part I will spark your desire for more!

We won’t give an exact hour yet, but the team is working like they’re being whipped by Michael Valenza himself, all to make sure this update is wrapped up by the end of this week.

No one died. Yet. But we probably will eventually—from exhaustion.
Don’t worry, this isn’t a negative post. There are no delays, no disasters. The update is closing in right on schedule, just as we promised.

But… we wanted to talk about something. Something that’s been a hot topic behind the scenes lately.
Let’s just say, the discussions got passionate. Chairs flying, tables flipping, and moral standpoints colliding. Finding a middle ground wasn’t easy.

Let’s face it, AI is growing. It’s everywhere.
And while working on some of the update’s more demanding parts, we asked ourselves: what matters most to us?
The answer came instantly, consistency.

We don’t want five or six months between updates. We take pride in our release speed. From the outside, that looks great, but from the inside, it comes at a cost. It affects us, personally and creatively.
That’s not a complaint, it’s just reality. And we keep pushing through because we love what we do.

Now, AI. It’s intriguing… and controversial.
We’ve been producing a lot of cinematics for this update, but with the workload and pressure of keeping our word, we looked for alternatives.
Not replacements, enhancements. Tools that might help us speed up production without sacrificing control.

AI can’t write for us. It doesn’t know our characters.
It can’t feel what Michael feels, or understand what makes Michael tick. Or any of the characters. Even if we tried to explain it, it would never capture the intent or emotion we put into our stories.
That’s why AI will never touch our writing, ever. Unless it hacks our PC's, but good luck with that!

But cinematics? That’s where curiosity kicked in.
Our GPUs are screaming for mercy, software crashing, temps spiking. So we thought, why not try letting AI enhance what we already create?

As a creative force on its own? AI is absolute crap.
We fed it one image, and the horrors we saw made The Conjuring look like a romantic comedy. So we said: “Yeah, no, screw that.”

But we kept experimenting.
If it can save us some time, let us deliver updates faster, then fine. We’ll take it as a tool, not a crutch.
Did it help? Sure, a bit. It maybe shaved 10% off our workload. Still left us with 90% of the heavy lifting, video editing, post-processing, polishing. But every bit counts.

Then someone asked, “What about sex scenes?”
Cue the chaos. “That’s not gonna fly.” “Just give it a shot!”
Fine. We tried.

The results?
Surprisingly… impressive.
No six fingers. No two heads. Almost flawless.
And then came the moral dilemma. The existential crisis.

We’ve always said we’d stay transparent. And if we start breaking our own word, then nothing we say matters.
So no, this isn’t a post about us switching to AI-made sex scenes. Quite the opposite.
We decided that while we may lack experience in that area, we’ll improve ourselves. We’ll learn. We’ll get better. Even if it takes longer.
Because shortcuts don’t build skill, and they don’t teach you anything.

Does that mean some of the upcoming scenes of mature content may suck? Not be as professional or WOW? Basic? Decent? Yep, sure as hell does. But would we rather learn, improve, make, rather than go and say "I need a BJ scene pretty please." No, not really. It won't be consistent, feed it a different camera angle and you're finished.

AI is controversial for a reason.
Half the world is shouting “Burn it to the Ground,” and the other half is singing “What Are You Waiting For.”

Our stance?
AI has a place as an enhancer, a tool to help manage time, not replace talent. But creation? That’s sacred.
No matter how “good” it looks, relying on it fully creates more problems than it solves.
Art loses its humanity when you let machines tell the story for you.

So this isn’t just about us, it’s about you, the people who play our work.
And we’d genuinely love your thoughts.

We’re not naming names, but many AVN devs already use AI for animation and sex scenes.
We’re not here to judge. We’re here to ask something important:
Do players really need to know the behind-the-scenes process—or just receive the product they paid for?
Do players care how it’s made, as long as it looks good?
To us, those two questions define the line between honesty and convenience.
We believe in being transparent.
Because the moment our word means nothing to us, it means nothing to anyone else.
