... he has a lot of incentive to delay VaM2 for as long as possible, ...
I'm not a fanboi or anything (for chrissakes, I'm a pirate), but how does this belief that MeshedVR is just sitting on V2 make sense?
Some baseline assumptions:
1. MeshedVR has a pool of ppl paying him.
2. This pool is either static or slowly draining (or quickly draining IDK).
I would speculate that if something gets released, attention/notoriety would skyrocket. i.e. social media, gaming media, forums etc. would start buzzing. Widespread awareness would cause many more ppl to download, of which a percentage would actually subscribe.
THEREFORE I posit that if he were to actually release something, there would be a net increase in his income. The sooner he releases, the more he makes. I almost failed Econ, but the one thing I learned is present day cash is much better than future cash.
This scenario works unless what he releases is so bugged that the backlash is really bad, leading to huge numbers of cancellations. So if I were him, that would be the tradeoff I would be contemplating ... I sure as hell would not just sit and milk the subscriber base leading to pissed off fans who go away.
