It could be just poorly worded backstory and world building. The girls saying, "for us," when they mean "for vampires," in the same way they might say, "for us (vampires) human blood is blah blah," but for the girls, who aren't like some other vampires and don't even drink human blood, the statement doesn't directly apply to them. IDK what the dev's goal was, or is, but I won't write it off yet, since there isn't lesbian stuff in the game so far, but I can understand some folks wanting to be doubly cautious because of how that scene in the train plays out.
