There is no mac version. That's all in one version. idk, on pc working all right.
.jar files usually play fine on mac. Sometimes it can act up, updating java sometimes was enough. Here, however, this game refuses to launch through .jar file (on PC you can use .exe file, and since mac is designed by aliens who consider simple .exe file to be impossible). I'll try to tinker with this issue for a bit longer, but I am at my wits end.
Are you playeв older versions of this game?
It is just one of the hardest for pc recources (java game), maybe it act up on mac.

I actually not helped, you still can't play last version. Need to ask some patreons to metion this problem to Dev but i think there are Mac users there, so maybe no need.
is the game still being worked on, been hearing that its been a while not sure if its still running?
If the game is on steam, and least release was less than a month ago, and Steam. Yeah, Dev is still working on it.
So i tried downloading it twice, tried all the options I had in "bin": Launch.exe, Ventureseas.jar and Donotclick.exe and all three gave me the same result: after some time of a loading screen it closes down without any error or any further message, can anyone help? Was hoping to try out the game :/

Every time I try to load a deck that I saved for Aurellia, the game crashes.
I haven't made it far enough to have a different leader, yet, so I don't know if it applies to anyone else.
I have now unlocked both Kari and Vinthal, and the same issue applies to their decks.

Ever since I opened up the Universalist Abbey, almost every time I modify one of my crew or whores via items (hair, breasts, testicles, facial-femininity, etc.), the game crashes after I close the Ship Inventory window.
Running a brothel on a ship seems like a terrible idea, tbh. You're spending money to buy/hire people, who you then have to feed (always a struggle on a ship, when food rots and the nearest grocer is leagues across the ocean) who can't work because they're on a fucking ship in the middle of nowhere, with no paying clients within a dozen leagues.
"Oh but your own crew pay to use them."
That's not actually bringing money into the crew, is it? At best we're siphoning money from our own crewmen into our ship's coffers, but how much money could these dudes possibly have?
On a more gameplay-based complaint, why am I having to manually rotate these whores from working to resting every single time we come into port. Don't we have a fucking madame for this? What the hell is this lardarse doing if she's not managing her own workers?
For that matter, how the hell did she show up on my ship with zero whores.
"Oh I'm a brothel manager, enter into a business agreement with me."
Bitch, you ain't go no whores. No wonder you ain't making no money.
And then she has the gall to come to me to ask if she should allow the crew to fuck her imaginary whores for free or not.
I should fire her stupid ass.
(but for real though. You gotta implement a brothel-auto-management policy where she puts tired girls on rest automatically. This shit is fucking tedious)
