Kinda underwhelming considering the good premise of it. After 3 hours of play with nothing much interesting I cheat engine money to speed things up and it just confirmed that it is kinda average. It should focus more on sex related gameplay.

I reached a point where i dont care anymore. Im spacing through every dialog. I am overleveled and overgeared.I just stormed all five levels of Sakura Temple... I cannot comprehend how bad this game is.
It just hit me i cannot have sex with any of the brothel girls.
Zero. It should be an interactive scene betwen the MC and the brothel girl. We are talking sprites here. On top of that i picked a female character and no futa has fucked me yet...Insane...
What the hell was the dev working on all these years?! The whole masochist prince montage was the most impressive part as of yet.

Mostly redoing the art/sprites/scenes and making scenes animated, which for some reasons even some people on this forum tried to defend as necessary. By this point the only reason they're not doing that is because they're too broke. If is to believed, they're currently in their lowest monthly donos they've been getting for the past 7 or 8 years.
Edit: After rereading my older posts, I realized I had forgotten how incompetent the dev is. Namely, the dev promised a bunch of big additions they possibly couldn't afford in December2020, released a buggy ass build in an effort to generate hype, and then begged people to artificially inflate their Steam rating when people were justifiably annoyed at how buggy said build was.
Oh and to top it off, it looks like they finally pulled the plug on their dev blog, which hadn't been updated in years the last time I checked.

Pretty much everything i've posted about updates and the last game update was the last things they put out. Nothing since then.

Sad to see this ended up being a just another Patreon milker, it has really great potential.

I think it's not so much as milking as it is a lack of competence.
The underlying idea is probably like this: Make the demo -> draw larger interest and additional funding -> draw even more interest -> add the shit you couldn't add before -> have a nicer product than you could have only afforded at the start.
I'm sure experienced dev teams do this too, but the problem is that most of these Patreon-funded passion projects are headed by someone who lacks the expertise to follow through. Like you can tell that a lot of work actually went into this game, but you could also tell that despite the fresh coat of paint, everything's being held together by glue and duct tape. If you followed the dev blog before the Kickstarter or whatever campaign started, you'd have seen that the dev spent like a year or two doing the concept art and talking about what they wanted their game to be like. Obviously shit didn't work out, but I don't think they went in with the intention of keeping their game on life support.

I don't like how quick people are to say games that aren't doing well are "milking" because it's a poor representation of what's usually happening. Consider this: You used to be able to afford to make everything a little fancier than most people can afford and you're now too broke to even add the most basic shit into the game. People are going to hate you for wasting their time and money if you quit, and any progress to it is either going to be expensive as fuck or at a noticeably poorer quality than what people are used to. And they'll still hate you. There are no correct choices in this situation, just pain. That's not to say that we should throw more money at the dev, but it's all too easy for any of us to end up in this situation.

It doesn't help that the dev is mired knee deep in the third deep rewrite of the game that they've done since officially launching it, judging by commentary on the discord. Both times they did it before, the game sat with basically no real news or updates for about a year, only to wind up moderately different and full of new bugs as far as a normal user was concerned.

That fits squarely in the category of poor dev decisions with a dose of lackluster community management, as far as I can see.

Agreed. The point I was making was that the dev isn't "milking" the game for money. They're just genuinely bad at game development.
