The game is being remade for the second time and this time in another engine. It's hard to argue with the "It's dead Jim" crowd, no matter how active the dev is in discord, when it's another several months of "Maybe it's being worked on, maybe it's not."
I think the artist also finally got enough of it and there has been talk of bringing in other artists to share the work.
Oh and VentureSwitch if you ever read F95 I promise you 300% that not using Toxxy's art exclusively is a mistake.

I hope it's a good lone like Renpy or Unity. Because damn there are some really cool games that ware wacky to play because of dubious engine choices.

The last time the developer said anything in their discord server was in November, so more than half a year ago. The last time their publisher said anything in their discord server was back in 2023. So yeah, it's evidently dead dead since they're not even keeping up a pretense of activity at this point.
