A couple thoughts about QoL improvements. I think it would be nice if you could specify subfolders in the Specialized Booths (e.g. Facefuck instead of just Oral). It would also be nice if, instead of just having the option to Favorite a girl, you could rate them from 1 to 5 stars (bonus points if the ratings affect how often they show up when you Pick Random Girls).

Regarding selecting girls for the night:

• I want the sorts to be reversible. Maybe if I select the same sort that I already have selected, it will reverse so I see the girls with the minimum energy or skill, instead of the maximum. Extra points if the button shows the sort direction.
• I want a simpler gameplay loops. I want a way to sort by something, then put the first girls on stage, and have that selection go through all the girls. The closest I get is with energy. But late game when you have lots of girls with full energy, it breaks down. I get the same few girls over and over, so I have to go select individual girls I haven't seen for a while. So, I would like when I select by energy, that the secondary sort is "girls who haven't performed the longest". (Alternatively, that could be a separate, specific sort.) The mechanism I like is that if a girl doesn't perform, she gets a tiny increment, like .000001 maybe, to their energy total (which should be invisible through the interface due to rounding down.) But the value is still there, so in the sort, the girls with full energy who haven't performed for three nights beat out the girls with full energy who haven't performed for two nights. (When a girl is selected to perform, her energy total should be rounded down, to remove that hidden bias.)
• I want to reverse sort by "girl's cash on hand", so I can get them to work. I hate having girls sit with low or negative cash (why are they losing money working for me like that?) But it's a pain to find and select them.

Kind of related: I wish the json descriptors included ethnicity. (If that happened, I would update all the json's I publish in my portraits directory to include that descriptor, pretty quickly.) The attributes that contribute to the bonus for the spring break theme nights could then include ethnicity.

Is that one of the reasons that some guys create packs using webm format? I always have issues getting those to play on Windows and strongly prefer MP4 for the opposite reasons.

My biggest beef with .webm files is that Windows doesn't generate thumbnails for them. Makes it much more difficult to scan for duplicate scenes.

I get the size reductions, but the cost in resolution quality is not worth it to me. That is explicitly the tradeoff that WebM makes. It is designed for quick display of videos in a browser, at the cost of resolution. I've got lots of space, and the application is explicitly NOT a web browser, so I prefer to be able to see non-grainy images.

I would absolutely love that. As it is, I keep a spreadsheet which includes the real date that a girl last performed, which of course means that I have to update the spreadsheet every in-game day.

I would also love it if the game kept track of how recently individual clips were played, but I get how that would probably be a lot more difficult to code. At the very least, it would be nice if the game had "repeat protection," meaning it wouldn't show the same clip twice in the same session, unless every other clip in the folder had already been shown.

I have done a little more digging. I may have had a corrupted thumbnail repository. Maybe I'm less unhappy with webm than I think.

Which pack, or packs? What extractor are you using, and what is the error?

I have done a little more digging. I may have had a corrupted thumbnail repository. Maybe I'm less unhappy with webm than I think.

It turns out I applied a codec pack that messed my system up. Reinstalling the default codecs fixed my problem, and I am seeing video thumbnails again.

I got it to work perfectly on Linux by running it with Protontricks launcher. Just had to spend 4 days converting all mp4 vids to webm as mp4 doesn't work on linux About 24000 clips :s

Thank you for your explanation, I've already done tons of sex and group, the sex and group performances do not show anything, while other performances like dance or foreplay can normally play in the gallery, my version is 9.5.0.1. I also tried 9.5.0.2, but that does not work,either.

Oh I finally got it to work lol, just had to install proton-GE-27. mp4s worked too soo... the regular proton didn't support mp4s but GE did.

I certainly wouldn't mind if you did that with my packs. The only thing I ask in return is that you let me know if you ever complete a CA pack with my clips, so I can try it out myself.

In general, I don't think this is the type of thing people would be bothered by, it's not like we originated the content ourselves.

For what it's worth I also play Corrupted Academy and I also don't have a problem with someone using my packs either. You might want to consider asking in the girlpack thread as well. Some people monitor that one more actively than this one.

Yeah, there's a few older ones with no attribution, but I think all of mine are credited. Most of my packs are new versions of girls that already had packs, and they're lower quality videos. Off the top of my head, I think the only packs I've done that are all new are Veronica Radke and Brie Turner, but there are a ton of clips to choose from in my Pristine Edge and Elly Clutch packs.
