What would you like me to add to the game in the next update?

  • The connection (police) mechanic. This would be a new "currency" and a new batch of upgrades.

  • More events and the possiblity for the packmakers to add some in their packs.

  • The possbility to train the skills of the girls

  • Progress the story and add story missions (mostly focused on Nicole)

  • Something else (tell me either by PM or in this thread).

Hey.

Is this normal that all videos in game are worse quality than the source ? I've made/remade quite a lot of girlpacks with 720/1080p quality clips but ingame those clips are much worse quality. Is there anything that i can do to prevent that "downgrade" in quality ? I've tried The Ultimate Stripper Club for comparison and all looks good, all videos has unchanged quality there.

Sample showing the difference:

When I play TUSC, then the video quality is typically virtually the same as watching the vid on its own outside of the game.

Thats why im wondering if there is any point of doing 1080p clips for VC when in game those clips are downgraded to low bitrate 480p. Im literally stopped playing VC cuz of this and started TUSC :(

I don't think that they're 480 if they're originally 1080. Probably more like 720. Its still HD for me when I'm 100% certain that the quality was there at first. Now when others create packs with lower quality vids, especially with non-mpeg formats, then sometimes its so low I really have no desire to even watch it. Sometimes it can be like watching a highly pixelated Youtube video someone has uploaded from a VHS tape, lol.

When you zoom in clip in VC the zoomed window is 480p for sure (probably thats the reason quality drops). 720p+ windows are in TUSC. Im also making my girlpacks in quite high bitrate and also .mp4 format instead of webm. Well... if there is nothing to do about it without messing with the game code im gonna stuck with TUSC for know.

I bounce between the two, but I do tend to play TUSC more. My big issue with TUSC is that the RNG (if that's the right term) keeps popping up the same girls for me each time, and I'm trying to maneuver around it so that I get more variety.

Is there anyway to increase the max limit of girls you can employ in the club?
Stuck at 11 and was hoping to increase it further so I can add some more packs without firing anyone to do so

I'm attempting to run the game on my mac with crossover, everything is working except that the numbers at the top are all blank and when I go to recruit a girl it won't show how much she costs, I was wondering if anyone had any solutions for this

Yes, if you make a copy of the pack folder, and then rename it (you can just add a number at the end of the name if you want). The only thing you need to remember is to also rename the name string inside the JSON file to match the name of the folder, or the pack won't work.

I do wish there was an option to have a "generic" folder, which the game would check for a clip if a girlpack didn't have any clips in the selected category (before playing those lame, washed-out clips that are baked into the app). That way, you could make a bunch of empty girlpacks and have them all play the same clips, without needing to make copies of all the video files too. Sadly, it doesn't seem like anyone is developing the game any further at this point.

In reality, the author didn't use six separate video players to play the video. Instead, he used Unity's Video Render Textures to play the video across six areas of the screen.

The video quality depends on the resolution of the created render texture assets, not the resolution of the video file itself.

The game's own resolution is finite, so the total resolution allocated to these six areas cannot exceed the game's own resolution. When creating this game, the resolution of these six render texture assets might have been set to 480p.

For example, the game essentially compresses a 1080p video to 480p and then zooms in to view the 480p video. The solution is to generate a new, higher-resolution video playback component when the video zoom-in button is clicked, and then play the original 1080p video.

I've recently been studying the source code of VC.

What you're describing is exactly what I'm thinking of doing. I'm currently learning Unity, and AI is incredibly powerful now, so I think I'll be able to implement this feature in the future.

That would be amazing! Are you using decompiled source code, or did you find where Disgruntler posted it in this thread for someone else who was interested in working on it further?

I'm using the original author's source code. In fact, I downloaded the source code a long time ago, but at that time I didn't know how to improve it to make the game more fun. Now I have some inspiration.

If you don't want to have any of that content in your version, that's ok too, but I'd like to avoid having too many forks if possible.

I haven't been paying attention to comments before, so I don't know if there are other sources. Thank you for your efforts, I have successfully downloaded the code of VCHH v9.5.1.2x.zip, and I will make improvements based on this.

This. I haven't thought of going in to change the zoom player, so it can do that. It probably won't be hard, actually. It's probably just a matter of changing the player features in the scene itself.

Video Render textures is the way to do it in Unity, which uses the OS's built in codecs. There's limitations to which videos can be used in Unity.

I'd love to encourage you to change/mod/alter/improve this with what you think might be fun. This is how I got my start on the project and I'd love to see what you cook.
