I haven't been following the project closely so I don't know how many subs they had in the past but from what I see they are making 7 bucks on patreon and on subscribestar it says 280 dollars to reach their goal and it wasnt met. Did they have a larger support in the past?
The amount of money they were making isn't relevant, the fact they took money at all and fucked off without so much of a fart is.

I mean there is a demo here with art, animations etc I would call that a fart at least. it probably cost money to do all that so before I would judge them its possible they didn't make much money at all. If they took a bunch of money and ran off then I'm all for getting the pitchforks

Their last update was over a year ago. So I def think that's more than enough time to be annoyed they haven't said anything. Even if it's a, we didn't get enough money production of the game is over.
What we got was a, we're redoing the engine. (The death knell of many games)

I know what you mean bro I agree just a quick message to clear things up would be cool. But as you said the writing was on the wall with the redo and being a somewhat shy guy myself I can understand that it's difficult for the dev to come out and say "yeah you guys were right it's dead now..." you know? At least he's not stringing people along with fake updates and saying it's almost done guys just a few more weeks trust me...
