Yeah I can understand there close and probably want to release quickly but they are at the most difficult stage now.

1. Assemble the different video sections so they are joined smoothly with no frame jumps or that
2. Keep audio in sync with all the different parts

Having done subtitle timing before I can appreciate the work and time to do this as you have to be working at the frames themselves to join all these different compilations to blend them in smoothly with each other. Even knowing this it would be nice to see at least a weekly ETA progress of this process.

Which would only be a valid statement if they didn't tell us they were in the "final" part of doing all these things a year ago including finalizing audio editing.

If it took you over a year to subtitle one thing, either you're translating uncut Lord of the Rings into Assyrian handshakes or you're lying.

They gave another update, still doing some retakes and SFX stuff and considering that they offered doing the Melody WIPS while the audio is being finished it's very likely that is going to end up taking 2-3 weeks and that's me being positive.

This made me remember the entertaining discourse between them and some people in the community arguing Fischl's age, both parties trying their hardest to get some conclusive evidence when at the end of the day someone can just say that this one is 18 or that they just don't care lol.

Doesn't change spamming the same excuses and 9000 "lighting" updates. Just because you release it doesn't mean you didn't intentionally hold releasing it for months/years. Gotta start and release multiple projects without these issues consistently for that to change.

I'm foreseeing a June release. Who knows though, he could try to milk till July's payment- idk how but he'll find a way. If he managed to milk 6-8 months just for "lighting", whats another 2 more for sound?

I don't think they are holding the animation but just being awfully perfectionist, like their last post mentioned searching sounds because they are not satisfied with certain sfx, something that should have been set stone in the first months.
But I doubt anything like this going to happen again, I believe months ago they said something about doing long videos in parts and they probably not going to risk going above +10 minute for a while because I doubt anyone would want to hear a entire year of people asking when the animation is out. Anyways maybe we're going to Fischl x Mona x Slime in 2030
