One of the best games in its genre. I personally like it slightly more than moving down. The endings tho i hoped to be longer. The mid game ones (with Clara, Victoria etc.) i liked more as they were slightly longer and in my opinion at least the alexandra n luna endings should have been longer.

I got the Alex and Nina endings by re-loading the ”sign the contract” bit, How far back do we need to go to get all endings?

I think there is one more ending after signing the contract if you opt to go via the dangerous alley at night when you do that shopping trip (iirc)

Finished the game and reviewed it, saw all endings. Cut a chunk out of my review as was rambling so though of adding here. Basically, I had mixed feelings about the game - as I do with other more similar works, like Taco's Second Class. Basically, I like extreme femdom and I like visual novels - so theoretically this should be my thing. But I find that in many of the popular ones in this style I am put off by the nature of the femdom relationships between characters. Does anyone feel similar, or differently?

Basically with femdom VNs I’m often curious to see how the femdom is socially situated. Some games imagine a world in which basically all women are dommes and all men slaves, maybe because of magic or law. At the other end of the spectrum, you get games where it’s a loving couple and it’s the guy’s kink. I find this stuff matters – the former scenario often feels quite un-erotic to me because the female position is not actually a transgressive sex act but just worldbuilding. Also, in those settings the femdom is mainly presented one of aggression and the male is often unconsenting. It all starts to feel more like a game about oppression than kink to me. I find myself thinking about the need for a civil rights movement, and what’s worse the whole scene comes across as a bit sexless… The women primarily seem to be acting out of spite and the men out of fear – is this sexy? This isn’t unique to this game but more of an industry commentary.

A few other tropes include a cascade of unfortunate events: MC is mugged, then arrested for being mugged, then in jail brutalised, then punished at uni for being arrested, get in debt, forget to go to class, etc etc. On it goes. I think for some people the injustice of it is what gets them going? Also, in this case the MC seems to be some sort of turbo-sub, despite the odd witty comment, as confirmed by his psych tests and police files – to the extent that a police character even comments on his bizarre propensity to just fold to anyone. (This alongside normal MC braindeadedness.) Also, a lot of the femdom in some of these games is very immediate – a random woman marches up the MC and snarls at him to him to kneel and he just instantly collapses.

Personally I just don’t find this style of setup for femdom very compelling! But are any of the styles I mentioned above things that some people prefer? Matriarchy, pathetic MC, cruel stranger dommes? I know this seems to be turning into a rant, but I’d honestly like to hear from somebody one day about what is the appeal? Is preferring this style of femdom a cultural thing that varies in different countries? Is it a Russian dev thing? Like less of a ‘play’ and more just ‘women are evil’ fantasy. I can sort of understand the idea, ‘pathetic sub walked all over by cruel bitches’ type vibe, but in the absence of any real connection between the character it has all the erotic thrill of being knocked out in a road rage incident. To me. Generally speaking the relationships feature very little attraction and plenty of hatred. The MC is constantly trying to cheer himself up and dig himself out of misery and I feel the same! God. And I like these activities usually! But this is just one scene after another – he bumps into some characters and something bad happens. And some psycho attacks him. And again. And again.

It is important to remember this is a story in a fantasy world where all the logic of our world doesn't necessarily apply.

The whole Miron series in particular very much has a meta commentary of 'careful what you wish for'. Asking the questions you're asking is a good thing. The story should make the average person, kinky or not, uncomfortable. That's part of the point.

Why this is popular? It's an over-the-top version of a story we're all here for. It's the mainstream superhero movie-equivalent of a femdom story. An actual femdom story isn't as drama-filled (see Femdom Wife Game for a more realistic story arc). Heck, in Moving Down in particular, Chapter 1 is almost a perfect story of a vanilla relationship turning kinky...until we jump several sharks in Chapter 2 and on...

If you like extreme femdom, then you must know, in a real world context, there's a lot of communication and trust. That isn't very exciting in the context of a story. Therefore, a lot of authors make the woman way less empathetic and the men more stupid and/or submissive; for the sake of a good story. It's pretty hard to write a good extreme femdom story without an extreme woman.

Exactly!! This concept is present many times during the game, also in moving down. In vicious circle is less subtle because MC is a femdom fetishist (no spoiler, It is indicated at the beginning) from the get go.

It is interesting to make these interpretations in a game supposed to be to jerk off, but miron's almost trilogy with renaissance is not just only that!! It has metacommentary like you mentioned

In which sequence to play these games to preserve the correct order of actions in?
Ideally, the games should be played like this (which is how I intended them to be played): Moving Down ➡ Vicious Circle (prequel Moving Down) ➡ The Renaissance (sequel Moving Down)

You can also go through them in chronological order: Vicious Circle ➡ Moving Down (takes place 9 years after VC) ➡ The Renaissance (takes place at the same time as the ending of MD).

And of course, there's no harm in going through the games in any other order. I tried to make them so that it would not be confusing and everything would be clear even if you start playing from the Renaissance (though he is still a long time away from the end).

I get your point. Maybe it's a more exciting adventure in the game, but for me it's less erotic. Like, to me it's more erotic if the woman kicking you savagely, whipping you, leaving you locked in a cage in the basement in a pool of piss is actually somebody in a committed romantic relationship with you, rather than a distant cold monster. Like, it lacks the emotional element. It's like the professional cuckold porn videos where the woman and cuck so clearly don't even know each other - so where's the emotional masochism? It's just sex with somebody watching.

The real reason this subject frustrates me is that I like the more extreme acts, but in many stories and games if the "communication and trust" is there then it'll just be gentle femdom stuff. But if the extreme BDSM is there, then the relationship is awful. This doesn't correspond with my real-life experience.

If you are looking for something closer to the committed relationship, and ESPECIALLLY an emotional element, you'll find that in Moving Down. Part of the reason that's the best of the 3 to me is the personal connection the two main characters have, amplifying the events.

I'm fascinated by the Mironverse BECAUSE it's so over the top. The women are monsters and with the exception of 3-4, are mostly unrelatable psychos. You won't find this in real life (at least I hope not), so it has a larger-than-life feel.

You kind of answer your own question in a way. Why isn't there more reflection of real-life experiences and less fantasy? Because we're here in real life, and you can go experience those things. You'll be hard-pressed to experience the larger plot of the Mironverse in real life (again, at least I hope so).
