Early in the game the MC explains that he didn't use to be into things like submissiveness/pegging etc until something happened to him back when he was in an orphanage. How soon does that flashback get revealed?
Asking because I'm having a hard time relating to/self-inserting as an MC who fantasizes about some of the things he does. So if it's a "natural" kink - like he realized he liked it from simply witnessing porn of it or spying on a femdom couple at play- it becomes pretty hard to self-insert for the less extreme fans. But if it turns out that his current proclivities are the result of some sort of traumatic event that left deep mental scars or brainwashing then I can think of it as something for the MC to overcome, something to be healed from, making his current mental state and fetishes more tolerable.
I can easily understand MC's tendency to be submissive/conflict avoidant/cowardly whatever you wanna call it given the sort of environment he was raised in - where any attempt to speak his mind or stand up for himself likely just got met with even worse abuse. But to start fantasizing about getting pegged etc would require something worse than that - like his mind trying to protect itself from things that were repeatedly being done to him against his will by eventually making him believe he enjoyed it or something of the sort.
