Hello Dear Patrons!

I just wanted to give you a quick update on the progress of the next release. The work is still ongoing, but I truly hope this will be the last post before the update finally drops! I know it’s been taking longer than expected, and I really appreciate your patience. Along the way, some things had to be reorganized and adjusted, but everything is now moving in the right direction.

While I may not be able to include every feature that was originally planned, the most important part—the story—will be there. That has always been themain focus, and I think you’ll enjoy what’s coming. Beyond that, I'm getting excited about the future. While it took some time to implement, the new workflow has sped up development and laid the groundwork for future updates to come out more frequently.

I can’t thank you enough for your continued support and understanding. It truly means the world to me, and it’s what keeps me motivated to push forward. Just like you, I can’t wait for this update to finally be released.

Dear Patrons,

First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize for the long silence. Unfortunately, some things didn’t go as planned. I had hoped that this post would be the last one before the game’s release, and my goal was to finish everything before Christmas. However, there will be a delay. This is due to some decisions I made which, as it turns out, were not the best, and now I’m facing the consequences.

I understand this might sound like a vague excuse, but unfortunately, I can’t go into full detail about everything. So, I’ll focus on what’s important and game-related.

The game will continue in the same form and spirit as it has been so far. One of the significant changes will be ensuring that no relationship in the game feels forced—players will have greater freedom in how they approach the story. This will not be a remastered version but rather a continuation of the same narrative.

The game will retain its title, Victoria in Big City. Of course, there will be some improvements and refinements—though not everything will be included in the next update, you can expect to see them in future updates.

This doesn’t mean that all the work I’ve done since the last update has gone to waste. During this period, I’ve primarily focused on creating new scenes that continue Victoria’s adventures. I understand that the gap between updates has been too long, and I regret that certain circumstances have made it this way.

I do have a plan for the future to ensure things look different moving forward, and I hope I’ll be able to put it into action. This project is incredibly important to me, and I’ve devoted countless hours to it over the past few years. I just need to ask for a little more patience from you. Believe me, I’m just as eager to release this update as you are to play it.

Sometimes, we need to take a step back to move two steps forward.

Thank you all for your incredible support and belief in this project. It means the world to me, and I deeply appreciate it.

Yes, he's talked about it many times, he's redone the whole game, added new features, relationship system, music and more, plus a continuation of the story, lots of content in the upcoming update and so on. Actually, don't be such a nerd, the wait isn't that long, for those who support on patreon and other services, he keeps posting content with Victoria and you can see he's working on the game and trying as hard as he can.

Any idea for how long it will be delayed from his conversation? I mean straight forward, can he guess himself like from his own developing speed it will take him a month or 15 days at max?

The forum rules are complete bullshit and are as consistently enforced as the spread of a shotgun. You'll see one game being tagged as abandoned when the dev had a home fire and wasn't able to even get online for a couple months. Then you'll see games like Chloe18 Fake Family going 22 months w/o an update and the dev has been complete radio silence for the last 5 months and that game was only JUST tagged as abandoned in the last week or so.

The rules about such things are a fucking joke and exist purely for douche bag mods to use as a weapon against devs/games/genres they don't like. They won't uniformly enforce the existing forum rules, yet at the same time they have no issue applying unique rules to specific threads. Things like banning discussing the similarity between Being a DIK and College Kings on the College Kings thread. You know... bc it blatantly rips off 3/4 of what BAD does and its some how a bad thing that people can enjoy both games in spite of that fact.

What are you arguing about here? There have been no updates to the game since March 2024, and no progress in development of a sequel/update. One might well think that the game is either over or abandoned.

There are three "requirements" for a game to be tagged as ABANDONED:
  1. No content updates for 18 months.
  2. No contact from the developer for 6 months.
  3. I forget the 3rd (maybe there isn't one).
Whichever requirement is fulfilled first.
