Alright everyone! I've got a few comments to answer to
First, I didn't intend for the
game demo to be "leaked" already, I naively thought it would stay in the general discussion forum so I could test the water a little, but hey, what's done is done. It was always intended to be freely distributed anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now, to the comments:
Another Medieval game ! Hopefully this one doesn't get ruined by hiring NTRGames as a writer like what happened to the promising looking Erodio..
I haven't played Erodio (although it's on my wait list), but concerning NTR, there shouldn't be any
in the traditional sense. Meaning you won't be pursuing any lady that will be lusting for everyone's dick but the MC's. Although, there is a married woman here, I wonder what's gonna happen...

General thoughts:
- Font is a bit harsh.
Alright, I get the font isn't quite the best thing in the game. I'll use another one if I can find one with that "norse" feeling. Don't want to use a common bland font, because it should reflect the language in which the characters talk. It'll become clear in the next chapter.
Just an FYI.. Vinland = Present day Newfoundland, Canada.
That is as far south as they went. They had small settlements along the Labrador Coast north to Baffin Island. They kept fighting with the Native Americans who lived there, primarily the Beothuk and Thule tribes. Not sure why they didn't make permanent settlements since they may have had a presence there for up to 400 years. Some scholars think it was the "trading outpost" nature of the trips and near-constant fighting with the Native Americans.
This is actually a good scenario for a game or a series. Just do me a favor- realize that the Japanese series Vinland has very little to do with reality.
Thank for the clarification. The game is indeed based on these historical facts, and we'll get to see why they didn't make permanent settlements ;p
Grew up with these sagas, kinda weird to see but interested to see how it goes.
I hope I'll be able to do them justice, but please bear in mind that this is mostly a game and thus, it could (and will) deviate from historical accuracy. I mainly used the saga setting as a base to tell a story

Yes loved the Vinland saga Manga. This is about to be a wild ride even if it's not too much the same as the manga. The setting alone has me interested.
Okay, let's make it clear everyone! Yup, love Vinland Saga, love the manga, love the setting, love the character. I even love Farmland Saga, although it started slooooooooow. Haven't watched the anime and don't intend to (I generally don't like anime, especially adaptations). Vinland (the game, the legend) is based off the Saga of Erik the Red and the Greenland Saga, on which the manga itself is based off too. Am I doing a Vinland Saga ripoff? Newp. Has it been an inspiration during the writing process? Yup

I'd download it to get a good sense of the renders. They're really nice, the font isn't too bad imo, but I'm used to reading similar stuff, so it might take some adjusting to.
Writing so far was pretty nice, liked the humour and I'm looking forward to future interactions with Freydis. Music choices are very fitting, and it's a really good premise. If the dev can keep up with the feel of the setting then I'm sure this'll be one of the better erotic games out there.

Yeah, read it, it's one of my all time favorite manga. Same for PlaneteS, Makoto Yukimura's previous one (which I adore). As for the rating of the demo, well, nothing to be done, and the guy is right. It IS very short and there is no sex scene. Yet.
Not impressed.
Should be fine for people who's knowledge of Norse culture is limited to Nords in Skyrim, the Vikings show, and Hager the Horrible, but it's kinda cringe-worthy if you have any familiarity with it. I get that it's a porn game and accuracy isn't particularly needed, but still kinda sucks when you go in expecting half-assed Vikings and find out that it's a (lousy) caricature of half-assed vikings.
Yeah, I know, I hate it too.
Joking aside, I tried to be
somewhat historically accurate, but there's only so much I can do with the assets I have. For example, I hate the fact that I found only helmet with horns. It's cliché, wrong, and even worse, it's ugly. Also, I have a story to tell, and Alexandre Dumas did say (well, he didn't, but everyone thinks he did): "You can rape History if you give her beautiful children". Well, my child is short and has no sexual content \o/

What I know is Vinland is located in North America.. So it will make a sense if the mc met a native american tribe.

(Yeah, I know a character from Dead in Vinland is called the same and came mostly from the same thought process. I've played the game after creating my Shanaw, so I was shocked. As of now, I still don't know if I'll keep her name as it is. Shame, I liked the ring of it).
