Unpopular opinion - I like the font :oops: Feels kind of authentically Runic
As for the demo - Not much of anything there but I'll be back to check out the first chapter
Renders looked decent, good use of sound and it could be kinda funny.

i agree the art is awesome everything is awesome. But you will have a fight for the Redhead. Before even reading any of the thread i started to download it because of the redhead. I dont think the font is all that bad but that imo. Now to wait for the next update.

okay, now i need to read Vinland Saga. will also check this out after a few updates ;)

edit: what the hell, why are you rating a demo and saying it doesn't have enough sexual content? i see this in every new game thread XD

Not impressed.

Should be fine for people who's knowledge of Norse culture is limited to Nords in Skyrim, the Vikings show, and Hager the Horrible, but it's kinda cringe-worthy if you have any familiarity with it. I get that it's a porn game and accuracy isn't particularly needed, but still kinda sucks when you go in expecting half-assed Vikings and find out that it's a (lousy) caricature of half-assed vikings.

So, you play none of the parody games here? IDK for me, if I like the source material, I especially like to see a well done porn game of it.

Lol. Could it be that you have some really weird high expectations from a porn game? No matter how you put it, this is just extreme.
I mean, the Viking tv show is highly inaccurate as well and they have the budget to be authentic, while this here is just some guy making his own game.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't expect quality, but unrealistic standards like demanding historical accuracy, that makes no sense.

Can't say I agree. The most egregious example of half-assed Viking-ry is the warrior models, who besides their shields look horrendous from a historical perspective, but as character models in a game (particularly an erotic one) look just fine.

The characters are taken from the Icelandic Vinland sagas, there weren't any mistakes in naming from an English perspective (Don't know if the proper Norse names would even show properly without fiddling with the engine) and their heritage/family trees were correct.

A minor complaint in mannerism all in all (imo) are a couple of American-isms in the dialogue.

It doesn't capture a historical feel of Norse culture, but it captures a fun fantasy Norse feel, which is just fine by me. It has potential, and it could always end up being worse than the demo shows, but I'm personally not going to discard it just because it doesn't capture an 'authentic' Norse feel.
